  1. they are all pieces of the puzzle. What a load of crap!!!!!! the 10% who do the least b**** THE MOST
  2. yes basic equipment is necessary also proper Ambulance placement is also something to take in effect. we in peekskill as well as cortlandt and pleasantville have rehabilation units that can respond and set up for triage and either cooling or warming stations
  3. thanks we will be there when needed
  4. I have most of that I don't have cooling vest yet or the co detector.I have a 12x12 tent enclosed on 3 sides a 10x10 fully enclosed tent 6 chairs(not cooling yet) 2 army folding cots coffee machine a motiprt oxygen regulator ice machine at base this has been a 3 yr project and as of now we are still looking for more equipment down the road we have a large mountain bike park where a gator is needed we now call for mutail aid for that
  5. the tents do have side to enclose it so we can use the heater to keep people warm plus we can place people in the back because the heating system in the rear of truck still works if needed. As per the chairs we started with these for now due to budget reasons
  6. I feel that the new EMT are way too medic dependant Iam going on my fourth refresher and this is the first time I'm usinng the pilot program I sse new Emts refreshing this way right off the bat I feel that this is one reason things are the way they are new Emts should take a challenge class at least their first time so you at least remember what hands on feels like again. That is what is missing taking CME classes or lectures take that away
