  1. Rest in Peace brother
  2. Housing units also cover more than one precinct so they may only have one car to a precinct.
  3. Hawthorne FD's Gator was used for this incident. Also it was my understanding that Graham Hill's Park was in Hawthorne's Fire District.
  4. I see so what you guys are saying is that if i were to purchase my own helmet it would be better to go with the NFPA approved one than the OSHA cause it would offer more protection oram i totally off track here.
  5. I was recently on a website that sold fire helmets and was wondering about seeral things. Why when looking throught the differet types and configuratons of helmets are some listed as OSHA and others listed as NFPA and whats the difference.
  6. I don't know if this has been posted before but I think it is a good idea to view again and see what not to do when you drive any kind of emergency apparatus. The driver of this rig should have his driving privileges suspended in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLZowhZSyYQ...ature=rec-HM-r2
  7. I believe that this is a simple question that i just dont know the answer too. For the past hour i have been looking for turnout gear certifications on both the osha and nfpa websitesand have had no luck. My question is does anyone know the requirements for turnout gear and where to find these on the web. For example i am looking for how old turnout gear can be before it is retired and if it needs to be custome made for you or if it can be a hand me down. If this was already posted somewhere i do apologize. This is my first post after all lol. thank you for all your help.
