Location: Hudson River IAO Rockland Lighthouse
Frequency: 46.18, 46.48
Units Operating: Numerous Rockland FD Marine & SCUBA Units; Westchster County PD;
Westchester FD Marine Units; Sleepy Hollow FD & Tarrytown FD.
On Stand-By: Nyack Ambulance, Rockland Paramedics
Addt'l Rockland FD Rescue Units on Stand-By at Hook Mountain
Description Of Incident: Operator struck the rocks off Rockland Light at approx. 0000hrs and swam to shore. The 28-30 FT "Cigarette Style" boat later sank. Incident was reported at 0600hrs to Rockland Sheriffs. Units conducted a precautionary search for other victims. Male stated he was alone on the boat.
