Cataract Hose Co. # 2 is scheduled to pick up the 1937 American LaFrance pumper that served the village for 20 years.

* Members will travel to Pennsylvania on Friday (9/12/08) to transport the apparatus Back to the Village Of Ossining NY.

So the cataract hose company will own it, thats cool my fire company bought back our 1964 mack B model pumper back in 1996 from a farmer that had it out in westtown NY and have since had it restored and all fixed up (except the pump, but were workin' on it). I know TR54 had the same feeling my fire company had, we were all happy to see one of OUR trucks roll back into town never to leave again, to be ours forever.

Yes , that seems very likely.

The pumper is in fine shape and has appeared in events in Pennsylvania. The previous owner had magnetic signs on the hood.

Cataract will be lettering the truck when it arrives this weekend. If all goes well ,,,it will be at the Convention Parade. ;)

After looking at the photos , what you have is a "JUNIOR 400 SERIES" . It was made until 1938 with the lycoming inline 8 purchased by Amercan LA France for its smaller pumpers.
