All of the utilities in service, as far as I know, are black. The other day was the first time seeing a SP Blue utility, this shot was at the dealership prior to all the equipment being installed.

So are they still buying the tahoes? Or is the fleet standardized on Ford now?

The K9s are the only cars that are the Utilitys that I know of, I'm still seeing new Tahoes coming in. On a side note, here is a interesting history of the Pushbumpers of the SUVs, I have noticed a lot of change with them recently, bottom is the newest setup.

The dark blue paint is no longer made so they have gone to black.

I don't think this is accurate as I have seen the new interceptors in blue. Same goes for the Chargers. IN addition what is the likelihood that 3 manufacturers no longer offer dark metallic blue all at the same time?

Here are newer cars that are blue, there are a lot of unmarked blue interceptors with Troop plates.

It is accurate. Maybe they had some left over vehicles around or paint, but that paint is no longer made. The paint is made by 1 company, not by each car manufacturer. I know, trust me.

All cars being ordered are being ordered blue. Just because you say that a single manufacturer makes the paint and now has stopped making it doesn't mean the cars will no longer be blue....

Also the fact that I just took this photo this past week shows you the new blue color...

That blue is a far cry from the dark blue that was stated to be discontinued. So they very well could be discontinued and now trying to find a new color to take it's place. There's probably more variations of blue paint that can be mixed then I want to think about. So maybe it was a stretch to say they have to go black but it's not a stretch to say the color mix might be obsolete
