NEW MILFORD — A police officer was shot Sunday afternoon by a man involved in a standoff at a condominium at 30 Candlewood Lake Road South, authorities said. Though the officer’s injuries weren’t serious, officials were concered the shooter’s apartment was booby-trapped, requiring the involvement of the State Police bomb squad.
