Two dead in Newburgh shootout

NEWBURGH CITY – An early Sunday morning shootout in the City of Newburgh left two dead. The gunfire erupted inside 119 Broadway at 12:43 a.m. The suspects fled the scene. Initial police radio reports said six people were shot with three taken to Saint Luke’s Cornwall Hospital’s Newburgh campus by ambulance a the others taken by private vehicles.
