  1. Looking forward to it, very precise and efficient and it will limit unnecessary radio chit-chat
  2. I know they shot a bunch of scenes in Hastings
  3. Hastings On Hudson Just took delivery of Two 2014 Chevy Suburbans to serve as Car 2181 and 2182. They replaced a 1992 Suburban and a 1996 Expedition
  4. This is a very sad situation thoughts and prayers to all those affected especially Officer Guerra. It is unreal on the amiunt of people I have heard over the last few days say things such as he was a cop why was he in a fire, and my answer was simple, His job was to PROTECT AND SERVE in any way possible. Rest In Peace
  5. it is sad that there has to be a thread about proper etiquette at Firefighter Funerals, members who have been in for 20 years or 2 years you think they would be able to keep it professional for a few hours. We recently buried one of our own senior members and I was surprised at the amount of guys who showed up without ties, wrong insignia, no gloves or no mourning bands. If you cant wear the proper uniform then wear a suit instead. Think to yourself would the guy your honoring show up to your funeral with his uniform all jacked up.
  6. After a Armed robbery occured in Hastings yesterday, How concerned Should residents be? The village that has been known for its low crime rate has experienced several serious crimes in the past few months. Unfortunately it seems that the smaller quiet villages and towns are frequently popping up on the news for similar incidents. I just want to here some thoughts and comments on the recent robberies and crimes in the "quiet places" and how the residents should react, because I fell that some people are still very blind to what goes on. More on yesterday's robbery http://rivertowns.patch.com/articles/hastings-police-investigate-armed-robbery
  7. Rescue 100 is actually a combination of rigs put together, I believe the cab is a 1988 Pemfab and the body is a 1978 saulsbury. It is Former Norwalk FD Rescue 3. It has currently been repainted and refitted with new extrication equipment, and LED lights
  8. In Hastings we are just about fully switched over to morning pride but still have a few janesville sets being worn.
  9. Its unfortunate to still see cuts to our fire departments locally and around the nation, hopefully we see the end of these soon, after all police officers and firefighters risk their lives every day and to cut them is like a slap in the face, there are other things that can be cut and it should not be firemen or cops.
  10. The parade is starting on Farragut Ave by Merril st and will proceed down main street down to the waterfront
  11. Rest in Peace Brothers. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the fallen and to the Tarrytown FD. Hang in There
  12. Hastings is hosting the WCVFA parade i believe Sept. 23. in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Riverview Manor Hose Company #3.
