Now that was not very good planning.... Pawling has always been around the early part of August and usually draws alot of FD's from Putnam and CT.

Pawling usually 1st weekend in Aug- normally conflicts w/ Ossining parade, which is why we went w/ 2nd weekend

It's better planning than you get in New Jersey. Two wetdowns and two parades on the same day, almost at the same time.

I'm not a fan of "evening" parades, but given how many Saturdays are already spoken for, I guess you have to squeeze them in some time. The "bad" part is, if they start late, it's dark by the time they're over.

i do know the parade chairman for pawling has asked lake carmel to change thier date, but unknown if there has been a decision. we have always been the first full week of august since i can remember.

I REALLY hope Pawling goes with a different carnival company! Last year those rides looks SO rickety we just left rather than torture our son with not going on them.... they were absolutely disgusting!

July 4th - Peekskill FD parade

10am - starting on the North side of town.

6 Divisions and an Escort

All departments are welcome with marchers/bands/apparatus.....whatever you want to bring to celebrate this great nation's birthday!.

Carmel's Parade is confirmed August 23, 2008 @ 7 PM, we will also be hosting a Block Party on the same date from 3pm till whenever we wrap up with parade/trophies/etc. all are more then welcome, invitations were already sent out, any dept. that i might have missed with an invite; wishing to come just pm me, i sent out alot of invites so everyone within a fairly large area should have gotten or be gettin them.
