ok here;s the latest, we are going to get her Sunday morning, weather looks ok, highs in the upper 50's. Hopefully she comes out of the lawn easy now that most of the snow is gone. I'll keep you posted.

fdny2817 you're welcome to come out and give us a hand if you're not busy, or anyone that is interested, the more the better.

Yep sure do. I talked with 69-1 elect yesterday and he is going to Stanfordville to get the truck and trailer first thing in the AM. FDNY2817 is coming to give us a hand tomorrow too. The camera is fully charged and ready to go.

Well she is home, YESSSSSSSSSSS.

The crew got her running right where she was sitting for the last 11 years (off the road). We sold it in 1990 when we got the Pierce Dash, the FWD and our 67 International went up for sale. With alittle help from a chain on a pickup to get the front wheels loose, she took over from there and came to life and came right out of the holes from sitting for so long. The holes were about a foot deep. Man hearing that Detriot come to life was AWESOME!!!!!

I want to thank Deputy Chief Scott Boardman, Asst. Chief Bergfels, Firefighters Lester Herow (Signman), Matt Marshall, Brian Whalen, Life member Danny Killmer and explorer Bradley Whalen for going there and helping bring her home. Also a special thanks to Craig Elderkin (FDNY2817) and Al Kaehler for coming down to assist and lending some great advise.

Now the fun starts for us and it should be great to see this project through. I joked at the firehouse that when we got back, people it seemed came out from everywhere to see her arrive. It seemed that there were more people there today then when our new tanker arrived. CC-14 Lenny Morrison, Amenia Fire Commissioner Peter Deister came by also.

Again thanks to the members of EMTBRAVO for the support and push to get this done. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Several pics to follow.

The best part of the day was trying to get off that 2000' of 2 1/2" that has been in the bed since we guess 1988 or so, it was all frozen too, tons of fun.
