went to the long island fire show and this demo truck had a sign in the window 'shown courtesy of Mohegan Fire District"

http://firematic.com/trucksused/550demo_08/index.htm

I saw it also and thought it said Mohegan Fire Company. I thought it was from the Casino

Speaking of the long Island show that was not worth the 13 bucks they better step it up next year. The hooters didn't fare much better.

Dan, just so you are aware we are going to bid real soon on a new brush/utility. We spent alot of time looking at the Firematic B.R.A.T unit which they manufacturer on LI. The B.R.A.T is a really nice unit, you would like it, 20" super single wheels on an F-450, 300 gallons of water and a foam cell as well. With some of the areas we need to cover it should see alot of use. It will have two reels, one with 200' of hard forestry hose and the other will be a dead reel for soft forestry hose, all together it should have about 1500' of forestry hose and 250 -300' of 1 3/4".

One nice thing we added to the specs was the porta CAFS unit, here is a link, pretty neat setup. http://portacafs.com/

Mohegan Fire District has not purchased a brush truck. They are starting a committee for a new engine. It must be the casino's in CT.

This must be for the Mohegan Fire Company in Ct...it is definitely not for the Lake Mohegan Fire District in Westchester.

If the truck were ours, it would be branded as the Lake Mohegan Fire District as most of our.vehicles with the exception of a few are owned by the district and not the company.

Good luck Mohegan Tribal FD

If it was the casino it would say "Mohegan Tribal Fire Department". To confuse you all too the Mohegan Fire Company in the town of Montville just down the road from the reservation. It might be for the MFC in Montville, I can check on it tomorrow when I'm at work.

I'm definitely a fan of that rig, regardless of who ordered it.

I found their website. If I had to guess I'd say they're replacing this truck. It looks like a Unimog.
