OK I should have explained better; assisting agencies are under Liason, but (one more time) if there is no Liason Established, they report directly to IC.

NFIRS reporte are written by the FD having jurisdiction. For dual response, Companies on mutual aid write it as M/A Given. Otherwise the State computer will see it as 2 incidents, not one.

I never passed off paperwork to a neighboring FD. It is rumored that we pushed a car fire over the city line into White Plains so they would do the NFIRS, but I'll deny it.

Somers FD 2098 total. I will work on the breakdown of Fire/ EMS. Usually 4 to 1. Last year was less than 2000 runs. Increase is in EMS. About 4 real fires. I use a high standard for "real", like ya gotta pump water through a fire hose while wearing an air-pac. Flaming oven dealt with via dry-chem doesn't make the cut. Cost to taxpayers = $2.7 million.

Empress used run # 64262 as last of 2010, but each pt gets a number on multi-pt runs, including RMA's. MANY of those are private, non-emergency runs. Yonkers runs = about 16,000 a year. Cost to Yonkers $0.

Just curious how many calls your FD / EMS did in 2010. From what it seemed like listening to the scanner and reading the Incident Alerts here, it was a busy year in Westchester.

Happy New Year, be safe in 2011!

Dobbs Ferry Fire Department

2010 Runs - 401 (No EMS) Busiest year on record. 43 More runs than 2009

Winona Lake (T/Newburgh) had 504. About the same as last year. As usual, very little fire, a couple of assist EMS, about 85 - 90% B.S. AFA's and minor MVA's.

Well I've heard some "stories" in my day, but this one just breaks new ground. You honestly expect us to believe that the Captain falls under Liaison in this scenario.....C'mon Chief. You had me until you threw that in there.

Somebody stop the ride....I gotta get off.... :)

Thanks, I didn't want to burst his bubble and tell him that the Captain was in Operations.

No but he had a guy standing along the road wearing a shirt that said "Bees ahead."

And the back of the shirt said "SPEED TRAP AHEAD" for his B-job

No, I did not file a 215A Safety Analysis. Tht incident was too small to warrant a myriad of paperwork. Same as a food on the stove job. You don't fill all the papers all the time.

Besides, I didn't have an epi pen to write with.

Epi pen...That's almost funny! :P

For a single operational period event, even the ICS police wouldn't be looking for the 215-A.
