The Chelsea Fire District would like to invite you to the wet down for our 2012 KME pumper.

Chelsea Fire St. 2, 16 Brockway Rd, Fishkill (Off Route 9D across from Dutchess Stadium)

Saturday October 8, 2011 14:00 - 19:00

Food & refreshments will be served

FOG STREAMS ONLY

NO MORE THAN 50 psi

NO LARGE DIAMETER HOSES OR DECK GUNS

Reminder : Chelsea Wet Down for 35-11, This Saturday Oct. 8th, 2 PM - 7 PM @ Chelsea St. 2, Route 9D & Brockway Rd. Water will be served in LARGE QUANTITIES :)

I Guess You Can't Have Fun Or Be Happy About Improving The Safety Of The Community Without Someone Having A Problem With It!!! Congrats To The Men And Women Of The Chelsea Fire Department And To The Mutual Aid Companies On The New Rig. Enjoy It And Use It Well!!! See You On The Big One!!!

I'm just glad nobody was hurt (and no rigs were damaged) from all those straight streams!

And, it wasn't necessarily "taxpayer dollars"......certain manufacturers, KME included, have been known to foot the bill for such things as thanks for buying their product. Don't know if this was the case here or not, but there wasn't anything "over the top" extravagant going on.

Im just curious...are you referring to the wetdown as a waste of taxpayers money? Or are you referring to the actual piece of apparatus? Again, just curious as your statement was kind of broad.
