Yonkers Fire Station 4 Unveils New Engine

4 posts in this topic

YONKERS, N.Y. -- New Engine 304 was unveiled recently at Fire Station 4 on Radford Street in Yonkers.

The new Engine 304 is made of stainless steel, which allows for greater strength and corrosion resistance. The new engine is smaller than the outgoing apparatus, which allows for greater maneuverability, especially on some of the narrow streets in southwest Yonkers.

Wasn't 304's new Ferrara originally assigned to 313?

Yes. It was stated in the Yonkers thread on firepics.net that it may have been reassigned to a busier company for a better opportunity to evaluate.
