Description: Dispatched as a tug boat struck a barge. 

 

0515  Tug boat struck a barge and sank immediately.  3 crew members aboard. 1 crew member was removed from water CPR in progress, 2 crew members still missing. Search underway utilizing emergency service and private vessels, along with helicopters. Hudson River Command established at Tarrytown docks.

0641 Marine Unit using SONAR has located the tugboat underneath the barge

 

0804 Possibility that victims are still entrapped in the tugboat per units on scene. Commercial divers and USCG on scene to begin investigation and recovery on tugboat. Search and rescue-involved units starting to pick up and return to service
