Description Of Incident: Off duty NYPD officer shot in chest during attempted robbery. Officer expected to survive. 1 perp reported DOA, 1 M/B with red hoodie outstanding. Looking for a white Ford Mustang with Tennessee plates

Update: officer is in stable condition. Car has been recovered. 2 perps still being looked for. Officer was off duty sitting in his personal car when robbery occurred on street. Officer id self and perp fired upon the officer striking him the chest. Officer's girlfriend was in the process of driving him to the hospital, when they had a second encounter with the three perps. Gunfire ensued, as the off duty was clutching his chest, he was able to return fire striking one perp in head
