Dont agree at all... Sorry but Rye brook FD is a great accet to the Village Of Rye Brook residents and very helpful when thier is a fire call in rye brook and rigs are coming from downtown pc. Just think if thier is a fire in mid afternoon and rigs have to come from downtown pc with all the schools getting out and traffic on the road its safer and better that rye brook has a fd........ Also i would be careful what u say thier are rye brook fd personell on here just sayin.

Alright clearly there's no talking to you and I have driven in snow storms nd all your other factors and anyone can crash a rig dosent matter how old you are it can happen to anyone... Does it happen to younger kids more often sure lets go with the "logical statistics" and say it does that does not mean the kid is a bad driver it's calles an accident and unforunately they happen to everyone so before you start throwing have u driven to this and thought about that yes I have and im sure everyother young driver has to but like I said it can happen to anyone..

On the second note I agree with you 100 % but when it comes to picking on the "younger crowd" it starts to get frusturating because some guys I wont say names seem to think that young guys shouldnt drive because of experience but like I said experience comes with doing it. And there is young guys all over the place that are driving emergency apparatus and doing excellent jobs. Not trying to piss anyone off just throwing my point out there thats all just because one young guy makes a mistake dosent mean all of the young drivers should be bashed on.

I still disagree I dont think wat your saying is right and i have my reasons but im not gunna argue with you cause at the end of the day it comes down to getting the truck out the door and getting your crew thier safe and as a young driver i havent had a problem yet. I think as long as you have ur evoc or certifications or your officers who have had 25 + years in the company approve you your good. Maybe u dont think us "young guys" have the experience to drive fire apparatus but I disagree

I never said they base it on that. All Im saying is no one has the right to say that a teen cant drive. If your officers think you can get the job done than thats all that matters of course evoc is a neccesary thing to have but the experience no one is gunna have experience driving until you actually start driving to calls or jobs etc

M'ave not for nothing but I do think teens can do a great job driving. You also need to remember that many departments dont have older members that come out and get the truck out at 3am just for an automatic alarm, so dont think just bc someone is who is a teen cant do a good job driving do tgey have the experience probably not but u can only gain experience by doing it....

I disagree I myself am a driver on both the Tower Ladder & Aerial Ladder and have driven to numerous calls nd plenty of working fires. It dosent have to do with age it has to do with drivers training nd knowledge of the trucks that you drive I think any 19 year old can doo it but thats just my opinion

I Don't understand why the amount of apparatus their was such a problem. Every member on those trucks that showed up did something no one stood around everyone had a job to do whether it was filling up the Indian pack or rehab or carrying tools in etc.... anyone on scene would tell you that everyone had something to do. Not to mention the hike in there and back out was a little difficult, maybe it's just me but i thought everything went pretty good considering alot of factors. To all the department's their they did an excellent job.

PFD to your response it was about 300 yards away staging area to crashsite. The staging area was the same we used last year in the aiport drill we did when i pulled up wit tower ladder 2 you could see smoke from distance

I Never said i rolled up by myself all i said was i rolled up with 31 and said the drivers did a good job with apparatus placment as well as everyone else thats all no need for that... And im not a driver on 31 only the tower but you stay safe to........

I myself rolled up on ladder 31 it was very cold and and very icy out thier, I know climbing the stick was very icy as well and it was just a crazy scene thumbs up goes to the two drivers of the trucks great placemnet for them as well as TL-53 operator good job backing in that driveway everyone was focused and knew what they had to do great job to everyone on scene and got it done everyone went home. great pictures guys if you have anymore keep them coming.
