Only a small part of America wears black and most of them are in the the North East. Tan is nice but I also like black.

Stat213 after training at the WC fire training center( FF2), I seen an instructor with webbing coming out from behind his knee pad. I though this was a wonderful Idea. not only can you carry more webbing but it is also out of the way giving your pockets alittle room. But if you don't have pockets then I think your idea is great.

The City Of Peekskill Fire Fighters carry 40' of round rescue rope and a D biners in the back part of our jackets, all you have to do is open the flap and pull out the rope. I recommend pulling all the rope out first to make sure there are no knots first. I am thinking about adding a fiqure 8 to my system.

Years ago all our helomet shields where black, engine and truck red letters and white number of the truck or engine #. Today are shields are still black with your red badge number. Chiefs have a gold shield, officers have white, FF's and Excaptains have black.

I used regular fire fighting gloves, but leather work gloves work great to.

No I would not do or order anyone to rescue a cat or any animal like this. A ground ladder should have been placed under the cat. The cat looks like it is going to fall off so why reach over, cats always land on the feet.

I think it was a good move but I am not saying anything till I see what he can do in the Bronx first. Hopefully we will have a good season, as long as they find some pitching.

Cortlandt Hook & Ladder - TL-45, Peekskill F.D has a fire pole which is in fine condtion. This is firehouse in the city with a pole.

Traditional red, with white cab and crome wheels is my favorite, but as long ans it has a worrking pump or ladder thats all I care about.

Peekskillis having it annual 4th of july parade, step off is at 10:00 A.M. Fireworks will also follow at 9:30 that night at the river front green.

Into the fire was a very interesting show, them men and woman fire fighters bust there hump day and night. That is some serious fire fighting.

All I want to know is who is paying for all these tags, then well talk.

I agree with alsfirefighter, a coat with a hood? that suck, I like to have my ears exposed, if your ears are burning get the hell out of there. some saftey is great. Some safety is bad but it starting to get so good that it may hurt you in the end.

Some guys in my department have the same problem, the on/off nobs fall off. I have a minitor 4 and they changed the knobs, not one problem yet.

1. Locate where the light struck. you may need to overhaul.Feel for heat, look for smoke and fire.

2. use thermal imaging

3. Check inside/outside to see if there is any structural damage.

4. Check electrical system, may have burned out from the surge of energy.

I don't have any problem with woman fire fighters going into a burning building, as along as they are quilified and able to carry my big a** out if somthing goes wrong.
