Seth, I goto the .com everytime I log in. Maybe if you had a photo admin/editor? Someone who would volunteer to handle the photo side of the site. You set up an email photos@emtbravo.com or something and give that admin access to it. You get vol to Mod and do live support I am sure a qualifed Vol would step up to handle photos. This way they would be updated more often. They could also keep the .com a little more "cleaned up" archive the old photos at the end of the week instead of them sitting there for a few months, changing the Photo of the DAY (featured photo), etc. If you ask people to just put them in a thread it could lead to a big mess. IMO. CAM

Cooking fire confined to vessel is generally only if there was an actual fire in the pan or pot and it went no further. Any extension past the pot or pan is a structure fire. If they are cooking and there is no fire but they activate the alarm system it is just an accidental alarm activation - no fire. But of course each Dept may vary...

Now I know most EMS guys hate this term, but it is very common in urban areas. An ambulance is called "the bus" because a great many of EMS calls will be someone with a VERY minor medical problem, who is broke and just wants a ride to the hospital. Or they don't want to wait to be seen so they try to beat the system.

But you can go to Turning Stone in Verona, NY and gamble at 18 because the entire casino is B.Y.O.B. Even the restaurants don't serve alcohol. Just FYI.

Well it is that time of year again. Air is getting crisp. Talk of possible snow in the forcast (man I hope that storm goes south and we get snow...lol). And ski resorts all around are opening up for a new season. Just wondering what are folks favorite place to ski? Any hidden secrets? Maybe you know of a place that gives big discounts to FD/EMS/Police? Having worked and lived at both Whiteface in NY and Mt Snow in VT for a year each I would highly reccomend both. Whiteface is run by the state and is not really a resort as such. Also if you are going to go there make sure that it has fresh snow because if there is a drought of snow the mountain is nicknamed "Iceface". If you plan on drinking stay in Lake Placid where you can easily get from bar to hotel. The roads up there are no joke. But if you like small town hospitality there are many little motels and inn's in the surrounding villages. Mt. Snow is a great resort to go for a weekend alone, with friends, or even with the kids. Plenty of varying terrain and stuff to do. Ton's of little inn's in the valley where you can find great lodging deals. If you are gonna go to Mt Snow for a long weekend, I suggest you take a daytrip up to Killington while you are there. Only another 45min and well worth it!! Well that's it for now. THINK SNOW!!!!

Ah yes Thunder Ridge...Lot's of fun if you go the morning after a big snow dump. Not too big but dirt cheap and real friendly. And of course the Red Rooster!!!! Best food on Rt 22! Guy goes outside...points shotgun at perp and says "move and you're dead"....perp then moves towards guy with shotgun (while this guy is still on his own property)...guy say's again "don't move"...Guy shoots perp (who btw had a crowbar which can deffinately be used a weapon)....guy then goes and puts gun back in his house and then obeys police commands to lie on ground. I think they should give him a medal and an "Honaray Sheriff" Badge. I wish my neighbors had thought like him when my house was robbed a few years back.
