  1. I wonder if the Mount Vernon Fire Department are having similar problems/issues with their 2 Ferrara Pumpers (Engine 3 and Engine 4). Be curious to see if the EMTBravo.net members from the Yonkers Fire Department have been reading these posts related to the quality issues that FDNY are having with their Ferrara Rigs, knowing that Yonkers is about to take delivery on 2 New Ferrara Ultra Pumpers (Engine 303 and Engine 313) and will be taking delivery during the first half of 2015 on a New Ferrara Tower Ladder (to replace TL 71). Hmmm

MT.Vernon has been using Ferrara`s for almost 10yrs, we`ve had nothing to complain about They had some initial problems that had be worked out but they ars very strong and reliable,we run em hard all day every day !!!!! sometimes things get broken ,thats just the nature of the machine.

  2. Surprised it wasn't put in the FDMV Station 2 Graveyard. But, I guess that the Station 2 Graveyard is full with the Old MackCF Engine 1 along with the Foam Unit that was never put into use are "Resting In Peace" (Surprised that Yonkers FD did not pick up that Old Aiport Unit (aka FDMV Foam Unit) and looked to refurb it and place it down at their Special Operations Garage?)

maybe the foam truck sounded like good idea at that time, but it was a major mistake to get it for many reason`s ,like...where ya gonna put it? who`s going to man it?the turning radius is for huge open space`s ,it has old air/over hydrolic brakes that were antiquated and broken. tires batteries etc. and Mt. Vernon fire dept. hates to spend money. The truck was made for airports !!!!not city streets.

  4. It would be nice to read the whole affidavit filed in court.

It looks like the attorney is drawing at straws looking to profit from someones loss (wonder what his percentage is).

The news article is like a room that is full of smoke and mirrors.

just wondering .... are they referring to the jake brake when they say the {aux. brake was left on}? It should have been turned off by the driver. jakes are dangerous when used on slippery surfaces .
