  1. thanks for the post, I just sent a request for attend for one of the dates, looks to a very good topic, In the spring I attended a train the trainer course and got certified to instruct on response to calls involving all types of persons with disabilities which is supposed to be rolled out soon through The Office of People with Developmental Disabilities to agencies in the specific demographics, my area it looks to be at least 8 counties of the Hudson/Harlem Valley.
  2. Thanks Angelo, I haven't seen it actually other than the photo but I'm sure it's the same, great idea with the cardboard so you can take it out if there is a change in use, I'll take a look when it arrives, thanks again
  3. A few from today, just waiting for the programming update from International to be completed and then we shall take delivery. Front bumper compartment, they added the small mount for the silicone spray bottle to help with the raised gaskets on the 6" Storz connections and the above compartment covered
  4. good stuff as always
  5. End of the day and week shots sent from the shop, the guys are working tomorrow to complete the punch list from our last visit. Hose bed lighting supplied are 4- Whelan 3" round White/Red LED installed at each end of the bed in each partitioned area, the partitions are adjustable as well, under the photos of the lights installed is a link to show what these lights are like, it will be nice to be able to change the lights to red or red/white at night so they are not so bright when packing hose and the lights are shining directly in your eyes. Yes I see the bolt sticking up in the second photo for the hose bed divider, we'll get that corrected, don't want any hose getting hung-up http://www.sirennet.com/wh3s.html The cab brow light bracket was painted flat black from the aluminum at our request to help reduce flash back from the inner light bar, the light bar was also tilted down, these two items eliminated the flash back Looking down past the CAFS air compressor fan you can see some of the components for the CAFS systems as well as the vents placed at the ends of the 3 suction compartments to help keeping this area vented. Fire extinguisher placed and rubber wheel well opening installed, we went with the rubber to match the cab.
  6. The last of the fabrication is completed and the hose bed cover installed and chevrons are almost completed, one small piece as you can see is getting placed, looks like HOPEFULLY an early next week delivery, sent from the shop so these are a bit blurry. Hose bed cover, I like how they left the netting over the CAFS compressor cooling fan. Rear chevrons being installed over the ladder and suction doors
  7. Looks sweet, photo from autoblog
  8. End of the day shots sent from the shop, hose bed grating is in and the compartment are topped with diamond plate for the drip edge and appearance, the item that is boxed in on the right front of the hose bed is the CAFS air compressor cooling fan. Yep even the hose bed grating is yellow And one other shot of the ladder storage area with the three lengths of 10' 2 1/2" suction, the 9' and 10' folding ladders and long tools will be placed at the station once the rig is delivered
  9. A few sent from the shop today, the doors on the rear our now completed Doors completed and installed, now awaiting the chevrons, shown here closed, you can also see they added a diamond plate kick panel just above the upper 8" step. In the open position This one is kind of blurry but these are the LED lights we added to the front two 2 1/2" discharges, which will also help light up the area in and around the pump.
  10. Brendan I am hoping there are no more trips down to the island, I am about driven out at this point but as stated prior you are more than welcome as anyone else to come up and see the Engine once it finally makes it home, we were told maybe by the end of the week, lol just not sure what week.
  11. I got a few also
  12. Watching Dan make the rear doors today for the ladder and suction areas was pretty cool and a few of Seth's I added to caption them. Door being constructed Dan welding the pieces together Dan testing for fit Ladder door installed, chevrons to be added and Dan was off to finish the suction door Seth's photo, this is the driver side rear wheel well compartment which houses one folding wheel chock and the flare container, the front one houses the other chock and a 20# fire extinguisher. Seth's photo showing the rear of the tool board, they added three aluminum boxes, one on the board and the other two in the side corners to house the SCBA masks, also this one is for x129K so you can see the 36" Griff hook mounted.
  13. Here are mine from today The pump brains The hydrant wrench and spanners and the LDH spanners (upper right) mounted to the extended front bumper area The mini slide out custom tray made to fit the hydraulic pump A side shot of the LED compartment lighting on Open cab door shot showing the yellow powder coated grab handles at the entrance to the cab that we asked for at last weeks visit, in the background you can see under the console an open boxed area, this is for the AED and you can also make out the TNT tool mounted vertical to the right of the AED box. You can also see the water can which is mounted under the rear seat, you can see the handle, yes the rear seat bottom always fold up when not being sat in, this allows more access into the rear of the cab to get any of the items there or on the rear part of the console. The Q finally has it's cover on The knox boxes installed on the passenger side front officer's seat riser The 6600 watt generator and reel tray pullout The completed front of the tool board with the red reflective tape and the mini bolt cutters added today and custom mounted, also you can see on the right side of the tool board mini Amber LED flashers, they were added to the front and rear of the tool board and will flash when the board is unlocked from the D handle
  14. You're very welcome Seth, glad you could make it, you can definitely see the difference when the LED stripe lighting is on inside the compartments, the one photos shows myself going over a few things with Tom on the left, Dan in the foreground welding the door for the rear ladder area and Dillon and Kevin making custom brackets to hold mini LEDs to be over top of the two front discharges, something we added at todays visit. I will add a few more to yours, thanks and Yes you are buying lunch next time
  15. Sent from the shop today, although not the clearest pic (cell phone) you can see the components mounted in the passenger side rear compartment, they finished the compartment up by placing the hydraulic pump on a small slide out tray for ease of getting the unit out of the compartment. There are a set of auto cribs mounted on the left wall, the combo cutter/spreader on the rear face, the slide out pump and on the rear wall right side is a set of combo spanners 2 1/2" to 5". Also the auto fill over ride and manual controls are on the rear face of the compartment as previously shown. The upper shelf has the hydraulic lines and gas can mount. I will get better shots on Monday of all completed compartments which hopefully should be all of them.
  16. The law isn't that old and why is necessary to turn this into a liberal government thing, seems this is has turned into more of a political complaint then anything else, you asked why police vehicle do not have blue lights facing forward, you were given the exact reason why then reply you already know? So now we've gone from blue lights facing forward now to guns, drugs, sorry you keep saying NC this NC that then please why not then move to Greensboro???? This is my first post to question another posters comments or motive but clearly this seems more then about blue lights and please I cannot speak for the moderators, let's keep the political BS off the site!!!! Blast away as you may!!!!!!!!

  18. I am sure all NY Met fans are aware of Piazza getting inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame this Sunday at Citifield, I will be headed down and sitting in the Leftfield reserve Section 136, anyone else going?
  19. If you find out, I'll stop by and say hello
  20. Engine is at the International dealer to get the governor programmed to communicate with the CAFS compressor and they sent me a shot, finally get to see most of the rear of the unit, the suction area was removed yesterday to place the ladder box in and will be placed back in when the rig returns this afternoon to the Firematic shop.
  21. Dan I know I am an old man now, seen a few "tricks" in my days
  22. Our good buddy formerly of Red hook now in Ulster showed me the trick, I did my 36" griff hook that way, I donated it to the new Engine, now if I can only find the roll of tape!!
  23. And just sent from the shop the box is now mounted and for 4093x, we decided to not add those lights to the ends of the arrow stick and here you can see the new stainless trim piece placed around the light!
  24. The custom ladder, small suction and hook area is now completed, by opening up the little giant ladder and lying it flat fully open we were able to mount four hooks above it, thus freeing up an open space for some long tools (upper right boxed area). The custom box was mounted on the Engine this afternoon, thanks to x129k for the input on the hooks, as you can see there are now six hooks, with different sizes and types, much appreciated Dan!!!!
