  1. Ok you got it. Before you look let me give you the idea about the bag. One it is made to work while you or your partner is wearing it or laid on the other side of the Pt. Down or up wright. The material also works well sitting on the bench (not falling off). As you look at the bag, The 1st comp in the middle with the wire handle is your IV set up. on the inside sleeve you have a 16ga, 2-18ga, 2-20ga, 22 ga angio caths.

The 1st zipper next to it is 2x2, tape, vrb, preps, lock, flush, tegaderm, & a set of blood tubes. I am known to double up lol. The opp side is all the iv supplies that is required with 2 IOs and assort needles. I also carry the glucose meter PCR & Sharp shuttle. The main comp as you open is lido & tubbing, syringes, brista jets, neb set up, charcoal,& bobo stuff. Flip over the divider you have bicarb & d50 & d25 & more booboo dressings. Then you see the drug module (statpac item) & tube roll (ferno). Under that is your epi & atropine with a bristo jet. The two out side comp on each side of the bag carrys 2 1000, 1 500, 2 250, 1,50 normal saline with 2 10 drop 2 60 drop sets with extra locs. The rt side also has a bp cuff.

With that being said. I have put the bag on the scale and it is less than the ferno and the box. I am a pack rat. lol. Hope this gives you food for thought. Also note stat pac has a o2 sleeve & tube roll for this bag, But I work with what they give me.

  2. I hear you and understand. The StatPac, open one zipper and there is everything you need for you to establish pt care. Everything else is that you have to have is tucked away, but at the same time very easy to get to. Nothing is falling all over. Plus with me I am back from having a TKR and dont have full strength in my leg. So I need my upper body strength on the stairs. The backpack gives me my arms. Most of the Medics at Alamo hate it. Fine with me. Iknow the bag is good to go. Although a few have used it and found that it is easy to use. But lets not let that get around. LOL

  3. WAS967, Have you used or tried the StatPac? Its very easy to use and everything has its place. You dont have to search for items like in the Ferno or Iron Duck bags. Plus its a backpack (easy to carry) hands are free to carry everything else. Hey everyone is different. Used the boxes at HVA & Alamo, and bags at Empress, HVPS, Alamo, & the Mil. I will stick with the bag (perfer the StatPac).

As for the colors, yup. Going to keep someone busy painting & tape.

  4. Here is a few pics of Alamo Medic 2. A 2007 Chevy Express from AEV. Alamo has several that replaced some much older rigs. They are good. They run well and comfortable. I think they actually thought of the crews alittle. As that there is some more cab room. The down are (as I see it ) they sound like a tin can, they are top heavy (more than the Fords ). In the back you see it is a simple lay out. We use Zoll defib mont (company switch from LP12s) The StatPac bag is the only one at Alamo. I love that bag I think it is a great ALS bag. The company however has a split of Ferno bags & The 747 boxes. Alot of Medic hate bag and rather have the boxes. Hey everyone is different. This brings me to the other problem with the Chevy. The back step & floor is a little bit of a problem. I slipped last year out of one of the Chevys and needed a total knee replacement. Also you see in the back we have the Ferno Stairchair. Hope you enjoy

  5. While touring the belt way of Dutchess Co ( Rte 9 ) my partner & I had the pleasure of seeing DCSD's Quads being hauled north. As well a friendly wave from the Deputies.

The best I can tell the quads are Polaris 800 Sportsmans. Nice package from the Chevy to the Quads.

The shots are from Alamo Medic 2. Using a Kodak C533 5 mega pixel (not bad )

  6. Thats not to odd. Actually normal. AMR has several locations, western NY, NYC, Mass, & Ct. They are known to shuttle their rigs around to other location. Most of the time you will see them on 84 or 90. This is from observation as well as direct information. As for why they where in New Paltz, only a guess. That would be a few.

  7. You found it!!! The company sent me some specs & the price. $$$$ LOL. Ill get back to. It seems and looks like a great idea and have worked in several systems that it would be great to have on the bus or for MCIs. I really like it & looks like it might be a working item. Would like to know if any one was crazy to lay out $595.00 for it. Thats where they lost me.

I have used the stairchairs with that wheel system and they work. Unless you work with someone that thinks everyone on wheels needs to be carried (Goose you know who I am talking about). I think in Yonkers or sim areas it would be a winner.

So back at it, I wonder if anyone was able to put that money out for it and how they liked it.

I don't think there will be much used feed back

  8. I had just seen a add in JEMS for a thing called the six pac. It looks like a set of 3 wheels each side that attaches to a back board and moves a Pt like a hand truck. This includes on stairs (as shown in the pic).

Just wondering if anyone has used it or has at their company, dept, or corp? It looks like a good idea, & anything that saves my back I am up for.

  9. I was house hunting today in Garrison. I happen to see PCSD new boat in the water. I had seen it a week or two ago on the trailer in Putnam Valley, but didn't have the camera on me. Sorry I don't hav any info on it.

Pics was taken with my new camera a Kodak ZD710 that I got as a birthday gift yesterday. I hope you like

  10. First of all lets make it clear. I work multiple agencys and for at least one that was mentioned. Funny you say they (The Towns ) had a bad experience with Alamo. How come they the towns having issues or problems with other companies they return to Alamo. Even one that had leg issues. Hey everycompany has there pros as well as their cons. I am also not saying that a or any of the towns will come back. Its all about the bis, leave me out of it. Give me a bus, a partner, & a paycheck with bens. Tran does come to town with a big backer. All is fine and be what be. There is enough work in the area for all of us. As for a buy up. Maybe a good thing? There is things going on that is a fact. The other fact is that those who know for sure are being smart this time and not saying. Lets just remember this, We all have to work together and we have shown that time and time again (Thank God ). No matter what shirts we are wearing. I have my hopes for Alamo, but they are mine. Someone said to let us vent, who ever you are you are right. Thanks I feel better now. WHY CAN'T WE ALL GET ALONG????????????

  11. I am not a Dodge fan but WOW! Looks great, and looks like the gear placement was really well planned. Like the LP12 charger (right??). Let me know how that works on the battery, or does the rig get plugged in when parked. Anyways good luck, you guys needed it

  12. Me Bad, " I am sorry."

I will say there is a lot of good things SLOWLY comming around at HV / Regional and I am glad to be working there for Mike & Rizzo. I am also working at Alamo as well. Alamo has also been doing more jobs out of a few NHs in Orange, that where held by another agency (that I do not work for). But there is plenty of work for all of us. March is almost over. Back to OT and adding shifts. Hey everyone It Spring!
