  1. Awesome looking engine. Can someone post compartment pics? Thanks for sharing. Best of luck with it PCFD.
  2. Does anyone know what data is being collected from these images? Purpose?
  3. There is a fine line between taking pictures or video of a wrecked car, etc. However you DO NOT take pictures of a patient especially a dead patient. It is disrespectful to the dead and to the family/friends of the deceased. Being a "buff" and taking pictures at a scene is fine...including a patient or dead body changes you from a "buff" to "disturbed" If you want to take pictures of deceased people, you have two options, become a serial killer and photograph your crimes or apply for a job with the Medical Examiner. Would you want yourself, or child photographed when dead?
  4. Cool pictures. Good luck with the new tiller!
  5. Awesome looking truck. How long was it in service?
  6. Article says the driver had to be extricated by the Yonkers Emergency Service Unit Police. Why not by the FD? Yonkers ESU has extrication tools? Im confused...
  7. RIP Officer Wilson. My condolences to your family, friends, and fellow Police Officers. Thank you for dedicating your life to keeping people safe. Excellent speech by the Chief of the SDPD.

  11. RIP P.O. Abraham. My condolences to your family, fellow Police Officers, and friends.
  12. Until someone speaks out, all we can do is speculate. I have NO issues with MKVAC or the Officers. The people from MKVAC that I know are excellent. From what I have heard, their Officers are excellent as well. However, rigs go on roads...thus making it important to make sure they fit the roads. I have also heard from people who do or have rode with MKVAC that the rig is to tall for the Saw Mill River Parkway. The rig must stay in the middle of the road to make it under the bridges in Pleasantville. This should be investigated by KBHVAC if they want to use this a a highway/parkway rig. I am not attacking MKVAC, or the MKVAC Officers, or the committee that planned the rig. (I happen to know one of the people who headed that committee) all I am saying is that roads need to be considered when planning something that needs to spend 100% of its time on roads. My apologies to anyone who was offended by my statement...no harm was meant. As far as no one from MKVAC speaking out...ever think just maybe not on this site? This is not the only place people communicate about EMS/FD/PD topics, tips, or issues. Also, from your age on your profile, I sure as hell hope I'm not your Son...Pops
  13. Sounds as if there was a lack of planning when planning and building the rig. How do you purchase something that does not fit the streets or serve the proper purpose? C'mon!
  14. It is a shame that these refs are being punished for the nice gesture. Perhaps the entire league should have supported Breast Cancer and could have used pink whistles and made an exception. Good job refs!
  15. Date: 10/24/2010 Time: 8:30 (?) Location: Route 14 (West Potsdam) Frequency: St. Lawrence County Central dispatch Units Operating: West Potsdam FD, Potsdam FD, (several others) Weather Conditions: Cool, cloudy Description Of Incident: Fire in a P/D Reporters/Writer: PFDRes47cue
  16. As a Officer with the EMS agency that handled the incident, I wanted to thank you for your kind words. And I agree, it is just a matter of time before the M.E. is blamed for false test results...that is how desperation/humiliation works.
  17. Well said NY10570. But didn't the ME say he was a .13? Or am I missing something?
  18. I stand corrected! Must be a false tox report...HA
  19. Nice shots. Looks like it was a great drill.
  20. One quick thing: If they noticed the truck gone after returning room a fire that had them out from 0300 - 0500 how are they saying it went missing between Monday and Wednesday. If it was gone before the fire wouldn't they notice when leaving for the fire? No security camera in or around the fire house? What about on streets in the town maybe they can see it drive by a camera? Weird? Anyways, I keep my eyes peeled. Hopefully they get it back with the equipment on board. Questions: Radios in the trucks do not give off any signal that can be picked up? Or is this only if transmitted on?
