  1. I was still in bed after a late night out from playing hockey when my wife called. Turned on the TV to the Today show and minutes later the 2nd plane hit. Before I knew it my wife was coming home and I was heading in to work where she would not let me leave until she was home safe. I spent the next 24-48 hours working on a recall because some of our units were covierng in the Bronx. I really do not remember leaving the firehouse much if at all

  2. I don't think Homeland Security should cough up any money because of Irvington's failure to include a purchase performance bond from the manufacturer, that subsequently went belly up. They (Lowey and Irvington) have some balls for even considering asking!

What kind of deal requires a 75 percent down CASH payment, anyway?

If they get screwed, c'est la vie,...so be it.

The Village "leaders" who signed the unusual contract should be held responsible for their OWN failures, NOT the United States Taxpayers- ie:YOU and ME!

I DO feel bad for the FD, because they're the ones out on a limb, now, it was supposed to be their new engine, after all.

I couldn't agree more nuf said...

  3. There have been many threads citing legislation that states that "the fire chief is in charge at emergency scenes" or words to that effect. I have asked in those threads for citations to that law but to date have still not received any link or direction to it.

I am asking for anyone with a link/reference/citation to post it here. Please don't post anecdotal "I heard from my instructor this" or "My chief said that" - we've all heard that before. I'm looking for the actual legislation that states anything to this effect.

Local, state, NY or elsewhere is fine.

Someone posted about similiar legislation in CT and if you can find it, I'd appreciate a copy of that too!

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris

you may want to check the New York State Mutual Aid plan. I just can't find my copy right now.

  4. I do own both companies, and founded the website.

The EMTBravo Group handles all operations under the "EMTBravo" brand.

I formed Granville Enterprises last year to branch out a little, and take on different projects, including some private web work I do as well as consulting and marketing. I put The EMTBravo Group as a division of Granville Enterprises instead of making it a whole seperate entity.

I made it a business so that I could write off all the expenses of running the site. Also, I wanted the name of the company to honor my late father, and his business ventures.

    Maybe I am confused but.......

I don't understand why the call for donations for a for profit site. Rather than a non for profit "educational" site if that is/was possible.
