QUOTE(OnTheWheel @ Jul 6 2008, 12:22 PM)It appears she waited until she graduated the academy to bring this up. What's good for the goose......looks like she'll be the only one working on Easter, Christmas etc when all the Christian officers grieve to get off their religious holidays. This may open a can of worms everywhere!
I agree this could open a big can of worms with scheduling for the other officers. She should mutual that particular shift with another officer like the rest of us have to do when we cannot get a certain day off.

It's CRAZY not to offer him a light duty position or give him extended time to recover! All he did was to show up for work and do his job which then cost him a severe injury. If the State Police and the State legislators do not try to change their position on Tropper Mattson's case what message are they sending to their officers? He was sworn to protect the people of this state and our laws but who is PROTECTING HIM and his JOB now that he is injured? I hope their policy changes.

but they said the cop got sick and went to the hospital...u think one bite of a salty burger made him sick?Yes that is possible he could have ate most of the burger and got sick. I wonder where they got the picture from, but either way don't serve the bad batch.
-
well, the girl should have thrown out that batch. but if it was soooo salty, why did the cop eat the whole burger?? this is def a dumb and dumber situationI believe the story reported the cops took pictures of the burger so the cop probably did not eat the whole thing, However why make the contaminated batch and serve it in the first place?

My prayers for a full recovery!

redmack Posted Today, 11:16 AM Large numbers of officers on scene does not equal police brutality as too often portrayed in the media, rather it shows a professional and responsive police department protecting officers and the communites these mutts live in!!This is true in my experiences. If there is a call involving a known perp who has a history of fighting with the police or a known location where there has been past incidents and it could be an increased officer hazard often more cops are sent. However people, including some media love to twist the presence of increased manpower as a form of police brutality or intimidation when the truth of the matter is we want to make sure we all go home safe at the end of the tour and the public has enough protection.

Great show! Looking foward to seeing how the season, and this class, plays out.To anyone who went through the Westchester Police academy, is it anything like LA Countys???
Seth, the same yelling by the instructors especially when you screw up. However, no BUSINESS SUITS REQUIRED

Transport the person under arrest to the hospital first with a police officer so they remain in custody. Then have them medically treated and cleared by a doctor. Finally when they are cleared by a doctor its OFF TO JAIL!!

Grumpy Posted Today, 11:34 AMGood for Greenburgh! Saw a pic of a P.O. with a cart in the J. News. Is that uniform standard? Looks like a Bowling Team shirt!
These shirts are for the Housing Division and the Community Police Division.

This concept is crap!! Once again someone's bad idea trying to make a buck or two. This type of merchandise will only send the wrong message to young kids who are baseball fans giving stupid publicity to gang membership. It is very possible someone could get hurt or maybe worse who is not in a gang but is just wearing the hat because they think it looks cool and some gang member takes offense to it.

R.I.P. Brother. Many Prayers to both your family and the F.D.N.Y. family for this tragic loss.

The best team in baseball right now is clearly the NEW YORK YANKESS!! The YANKEES will be there in the end just as long as their Pitching holds up. Let's not forget that PITCHING wins CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

I wonder how long it took for them to finally get water on the FIRE?
-
Wouldn't it be a lot cheaper for these CELEBRITIES to hire a driver for the night instead of getting caught and eventually paying a huge $$$$ for the defense lawyer
-
Wow!! You talk about history repeating itself!!

" ryanmacEMT Posted Today, 02:46 PMI can't believe that he was released on just $250 bond, that seems alittle low. I feel it should be much higher for impersonating a police officer. "
I agree, the bond should have been alot higher. These idiots just make it harder for all the genuine Police Officers to do our jobs especially when it comes to Traffic Stops.

Best wishes to PO Dolan for a full recovery. I hope the attempted murder charge will stick, and this piece of crap will be taught a lesson!! This just goes to Highlight once again the DANGERS of Domestic Disputes and Traffic Stops especially due to the recent tragedies.
