Not at all! Switched to Verizon, much happier with the service, coverage, COST, etc. If they add/improve their direct connect it's an added bonus, but definitely don't miss Nextel!

Yeah, definitely another scam to be aware of. My stimulus payment was automatically deposited, didn't have to do anything. Be interesting to see how many people actually fall for it, unfortunately.

Good stop, and good photo documentation as well. Just goes to show you never know what you might really encounter at a scene!

Happy New Year to all! Let's all try to work together to make 2008 a better and safer year!

How do you like the BCD996T? I've been looking at getting a digital scanner, but have read some iffy reports about it online. With post-christmas sales (hopefully) soon approaching, it might be time for the new scanner!

The site has been loading MUCH better the past couple of days! I did have to delete my cookies for it, and since then I haven't been redirected, and it's loaded nicely.

Thanks for the extra info. I was just going from what I heard on the scanner, they said it was either a go-cart or a golf cart. Guess there wasn't an amputation either? I was over at West Point, and couldn't follow the entire incident.

Anyone have info on the PIAA on the Taconic yesterday? Sounded pretty serious involving a go-cart. Birds were grounded due to the weather, and thought they said there was an amputation as well as extrication.

Yeah, Echo Hill was a good worker.... Amazing how we all had the munchies afterwards!

Nickname given to me by the Captain of my VAC at the time. My real name is Howie, I was in the Army Reserves at the time, so Howitser. I spell it with an "s" cause when I tried to set it up with bestweb way back when, the "regular" spelling was taken.

Yes, military officers DO have the right to refuse what they believe to be an unlawful order, but a troop movement is not unlawful! Plus, how much is our Field Artillery actually being used in Iraq? Not much! I agree, he's a disgrace to his uniform and the trust placed in him as a commissioned officer. Guilty to the max, some time in Leavenworth & dishonorable discharge.

One more vote for switching from Blackberry to Android. Had the Bold, now have & love the Droid Bionic. Find I can do more with it, and also save some money since I no longer have to subscribe to the Blackberry network also. Battery life is less than the BB, but since I charge it at night (and use it for a clock) it's a moot point.
