I heard Croton Falls toned out earlier for a possible structure fire at the Blazer Pub (440 Route 22) with an engine and tanker from Goldens Bridge, but they were then returned. Then C&O Zone 5 was called to the scene and now (some time later) Goldens Bridge's tanker has been re-requested to the scene. Whats going on ?

In other Mt. Kisco news, Ladder 43 was "taken away" this morning...
-
Facing the front of the truck, on the left side is a pre-connected trashline, and on the right side is the pump control panel. Both are concealed by diamondplate covers. The rest of the bumper is the pump itself, and two sets of discharges on either side.

Looks like an old Mack MB or an old Brockway...a converted oil truck, perhaps.
-
Its possible. The current Utility 13 is "2", Engine 105 is "9", and the ex-Engine 106 was "10".
-
Was this anything like the Kings College fire? (for those of you back here in Westchester)

Wasn't Eastchester's Rescue 5 A BrockwayY ?????
[/quote_
As x635, and PCFD ENG58 have said, yes the rescue was a Brockway. The reason I thought you asked this was because x635 stated "too bad they didnt replace it with another Mack." If you are getting at what I am, Brockway Trucks was bought out by Mack in the late 1950's, and then Mack began to convert and use the Mack cabs on the Brockway chassis in the 1970's before Brockway was phased out. If you look at the cab of Rescue 5, (not the hood), you will see it is the same as the R, DM, DMM, U models, etc from Mack. By the time Rescue 5 was put out of service, Brockway was no longer around.
-
The truck is usually escorted by police. I remember hearing this unit called for in a trench collapse not too far back in White Plains.
See the topic at:

Although I dont know much about this truck, I would image its no longer in service because wouldn't it state the unit number in the county roster? From what I see, thats 60-control unit designation plate (red) on the front of the truck. Since I see the "Engine" numbers only go up to 300, maybe this truck was 913 under the Thruway and a different number under 60-control. If departments like Greenburgh CD, the DES and NYS Power are listed on the roster, I would imaginge this would have to be if it was still in service. And not to take away from this topic, but I located a picture of a piece of fire apparatus used by the Port Authority, other than an Oshkosh ARFF truck. Its a huge Autocar foam tender/tanker....but dont know much more than that. Sorry, but I dont know what website this was from or who took the picture.

It appears the E-One has recently released a new cab/engine design called the "Quest". What do you think of the design? More info at:

The White Plains patch comes on the truck, it was designed by Westchester Collectibles with First Gear diecast replicas...only a limited number (to my knowledge) were made. They also have great Port Authority and New York State Thruway Authority versions.
-
Did anyone else hear of this thing possibly, once again - possibly, turning into a category 1 hurricane off the coast of CT?
-
Alls I heard was the terrential rains and flooding was going to be an issue for our area, with high wind gusts during and after the storm. Probably going to have to pump a few basements...
-
First I tried selling you the Port Authority wrecker, now I'm offering the older versions of the CCC spreaders ahaha. From penn-hazle equipment for only $12,500:
"1991 Crane Carrier tandem axle, L-10 Cummins, Allison Auto (700 series),central hyd.Swenson 17 Ft. spreaders. The speaders have a full size tail gate and reversing valve.Trucks have plow hitch. Miles are 15,000-25,000. These were municipal trucks."

Brookfield also had a bunch of these units up for sale, as well as older NYC sanitation equipment.
-
That should be CCC, or the Crane Carrier Corporation. They are still around, and they build heavy duty chassis for NYC Sanitation; they also have been used in mixer type application as well as yard switching tractors. Check em out at:
