  13. Actually for all of the experts out there.....all of the radios were working...out of the back up psap at the sheriff's office..and all of the phone lines rolled over as well just like they are supposed to....the major problem was that the system crashed in the middle of about 6 calls going on and with the great new cad system that isnt online between the 2 centers (pc414 can back me up on the greatness of the new cad system)...there could be no info transfer...in turn the dispatchers at the SO had no idea who was out or what calls were in progress....the putnam 911 dispatchers did the responsible thing and got some resources rolling in that direction.... it must be a sin to have westchester in putnam ......as long as someone was going who cares....and the only reason all bases were manned was because nobody knew the extent of the failure....better to be safe then sorry...once the extent of the problem was figured out and all info was relayed to the SO...things ran rather smoothly...trust me i was working...the first 15 to 20 mins were a little confusing but tell me if another county had a similar problem that there wouldnt be confusion for at least a little while...thanks to all the people working that day for dealing with the situation in a professional manner....p.s. it was kinda fun working with the pc911 dispatchers for the day
