  2. We are supposed to now move in within the month or at the latest mid-october. I was in there a couple days ago and it is coming along very nicely. They have a good amount of work to do on the inside but it seems like there are a lot of little jobs that have to be completed. When we get the word on when we can move in I will let everyone know. Should be soon.

  3. I was the pump operator from ardsley on engine 164. from my understanding they used the tankers on midland ave to supply sleepy hollow's tower and engine. i wasn't getting that great of pressure towards the end on the fire. from about 5:30 when i started to about 7 or 8 i was getting great water pressure. i was able to put out about 200 pounds on the 5 inch. then i m guess someone was opening up other hydrants or they were using more lines off eninge 79 and i couldn't get enough pressure from the hydrant so we moved about 400 feet down to the hydrant on benidict. i was getting great pressure from there for bout an hour or so and then i m guessing they started to take more lines off and i was staying constant with about 150 pounds going up to the engine 79. i was in direct contact with engine 79 and we were working together very well to get the most amount of pressure to there rig so that they could supply ladder 37 and engine 80. As far as i know i was the only engine pumping up the main hill to any tarrytown units. i never made it to the top of the hill to see what was going on so i don't know if they were using anymore hydrants. But i would like to thank tarrytown's I.C. and the operator from engine 79 for helping me with good communications so i could try to get them the most pressure they needed.

  4. Arrowxt, why do you turn your SCBA on in the Truck? I have found that this can lead to more distractions for the driver. If you are sitting in your seat with your belt on you can not really move that much and then the PASS Alert goes off which is really bad for the driver.

  5. As far as i know, yonkers esu was called before dobbs ferry. My problem is, why would a yonkers cop call there own esu in? There are plenty of other people that can do the same job they did and that are a lot closer. If this accident happened farther up on the Saw Mill, would the yonkers cop still call there ESU in. I think that this was wrong to do. There are plenty of people that are there to help who were closer. I think that if you are out of your reponse area, you should have no right to call your own apperatus in, let the proper people know. Yes, you should stop and help if needed but also, don't take everything into your own hands.

  6. No trucks please we have no room for them. But we are hoping that a good amount of people do show up. We have our drill tonight and we have moved everything out of the old firehouse including the trucks and gear. I will find out about the trucks but I am almost certain it is a no. See you all soon.

  7. The party will start at 8pm. There will be parking behind the firehouse or in the Police buidling lot. If those are full you can park at the bank which is 2 buildings down from the firehouse on the right or where ever you can find. If you have any questions ask them.
