I agree 2 engines a truck and a rescue, plus a tech rescue team for a truck on its side? Were the guys trapped? Seems like alot for nothing.

The Grasslands Fire Brigade is made up of County employees working on the campus. They respond to fire calls (usually automatic alarms) Monday-Friday during business hours, except on Holidays.

Chief Gasparre (Car 2541) oversees the Brigade. They have other Officers within the brigade as well.

They utilize the following apparatus:

Engine 7

Engine 8

Ladder 7

Mini-Attack 2

Utility 3

Other times the calls are covered by Valhalla and Hawthorne FDs.

are they ever called for mutual aid by hawthrne or valhalla ?

How good are the Garrity lights?

What do you want to know? It was a complete cluster AND you had the top 3 people in Putnam County Fire/EMS o/s. 1 ALS patient and 2 BLS in the first two ambulances out of the scene. How and why the hell did that happen? Requests for 12+ ambulances. Honestly, the way it was described to me when i got to work Sunday morning was that it sounded as if a nuclear bomb was detonated, thats how out of control people were. Total breakdown in chain of command, leadership trying to override each other. It was a complete joke, it just goes to show you how much work Putnam needs, and is a major reason why i'm scaling down my time working in the County.

Not sure if this info will help,but during my comute to work every day I noticed a diasater response trailer at the croton falls fd,maybe if you contact someone there they can help you,besides i've been dying to find out whats in it myself
