  1. By the way if they need any help with that Im sure we can muster up a crew  to lend a hand.  Someone get in touch if they need anything!

My sister signed up to help volunteer. From what she told me,she got in contact with the local contractor in charge, she actually had to fill out quite a bit of paperwork. If anyone wants me to get them info on who to contact I will do my best to get that info through my sister.I do know she starts on friday working.

  2. 1955 chevy belair 2 dr.got it when I was 15,came with a straight six banger.I took that out within days and put a big block chevy in it with a 4 speed.Dumped tons of cash into other stuff to restore it.Unfortunately I ended up selling that car.All I have left is the Belair chrome

  3. They go as far north as 125 Street. Anything north of that including the north side of 125 Street is Engine 72/Satellite 2. At 6 in the morning they can make it up the FDR Drive pretty quick as well.

did not know that they went that far up,does sat.1 cover all of manhattan, and when it goes out does engine 9 always respond with it?if so how many crew ride with the engine, and with the sat.eng?I should have put this in another topic, but oh well

  5. they say it is more fuel efficient with its displacement on demand system in which half of the cylinders are shut down while cruising and all eight fire up again while under heavy acceleration.

even though i am personally a chevy guy, it is a ripoff of dodge's idea of shutting down half the cylinders as implemented on the new 5.7L hemi engine.

however, i like the new style and look forward to see if gm will make an ss version of the tahoe.

gm had this idea 20 years ago, they had a similiar system on the caddy,it would gradually disable cylinders going from 8,6 and to 4.hopefully it works better than that system did
