  1. I dont like the new format at all, the different topics and areas just seem to be floating in space. Also the new format doesnt seem to fit my monitor anymore. When you try to use the old 3.5 format (I think) now that one is way to big for my screen too. You shouldnt mess around with something that worked as well as the old EMT Bravo format. I vote to switch it back. Just my 2 cents.

  2. I got the physical agility test packet in the mail saying to take the test in the end of October. I still never was notified of my score on the written test.. Also I dont have residency in Dutchess county. So I guess my questions are; Did anyone get notified of there score, will any dutchess departments hire non residents and is it just a pass fail test and your rank is the written test score? Ihave never taken the dutchess test before and have no clue.. Thanks in advance

  3. Just wondering who from westchester took the trip down to Myrtle Beach last month to take the test for Firefighter EMT. I had  a few questions about the job down there. Thought that maybe someone on here had some input, since this is where i first heard of the test. Any input would be greatly appreciated

I really want to find the others from Westchester that took this test. Or I would like any input on whether not this is a good job to take, being down south and all. I know at some others from Westchester took this test really need some guidence on this one.

  5. How many fire departments around the area have apparatus built to be low profile? Is this because of height restrictions inside the firehouse?Ex: Yorktown and Pelham's new ladders...

I was driving by Valhalla FH the other day, it seems they should have ordered there new utility a low profile version. Seems to just fit the third bay if they go really slow and watch out for sand on the pavement to cause the 1/4" clearence they have to be lost and scrape the roof A/C.

  6. And Envoy = Trailblazer too, But AGAIN, Chevy is on the list and GMC isn't. That really gets me going. IT'S THE SAME FREAKIN' VEHICLE!!

I belive the front end components of the Silverado damage much easier and are much more costly than the GMC. The insurance companies arent just looking for the most stolen but the most expensive to repair also. Sucks for me I bought the Chevrolet 2500HD not the GMC.
