Are you playing wheel of fortune?????????

Good Luck to all.
I hope you can clarify something for me? Is this the personal bail out system? And if so, is this survival that the members are taking as opposed to Fast?
-

Just a quick question, have the outrigger design changed, it does not look like the outriggers can be pinned?

Class I of 1989. I think there were about 25 of us. Lt Rich Lyman (now Chief of White Plains) was our instructor at that time He was a very flexible person going through the academy,he was always in great shape, that when we graduated, we presented him with a life size GUMBY doll. I think if he could've fired us all he would have.He was a good sport about it though. -
It sounds like HFD23 is on the mark only small area's of the tool should be marked as painting could hide cracks or defects, after each use the tools should be inspected for defects and or cracks these could be hidden by paint.

I don't see it either. All front line Fire & EMS vehicles will be getting them installed by the County.
Look all the way down on the bottom of the page.

capt 415 just to set the record straight the LT's in Eastchester drove rigs only the first 6 months the position was created, and that was only if manpower went down to a certain level. That was 7 years ago, Eastchester just made 5 additional LT's. Those LT's came from existing manpower, now each shift has a Lt on each ladder.

On behalf of all the brothers of Local 916 Eastchester Professional Firefighters, condolences to the entire Malone Family and our brothers at Fairview FD. Billy was a great guy to have known, he allways made me laugh. It was a pleasure to have had the opportunity to spend some time with Bill in union functions.
REST IN PEACE BROTHER!

Eastchester fire operations is 453.675

let me start by telling people that the determination of mutual aid is made by the chief of each individual dept, long before any fire. Eastchester is a boarder community to MV and went in on the 5th alarm. Greenville/ Fairview just about drive thru Eastchester to go to MV. There has been a determination long ago not to call Eastchester and at that time probably a good decision, However alot of changes has transpired in EFD (for the better)(new apparatus, new radios, officers, increased manpower) although nobody has done a periodic review to see if Eastchester should be considered a viable mutual aid participant. Eastchester on any request for mutual aid sends a rig out immediatly with 1 officer and 2 firefighters. the EFD then back fills Eastchester with offduty recall.Eastchester is spending money to assist in mutual aid and is not complaining. ( this is my take only. I do not speak for EFD)

Everybody would like as much real fire training as possible. This needs to be done with absolute safety as number 1. That being said NY State has a live burn policy which is strictly followed at Westchester. No benefit is gained if people get hurt or burn up gear. All live fire training is done in accordance with NFPA 1403.
