conman,
Woodstock also has a nice little brush/rescue type vehicle (67-42) at Zena station that the committee might want to look at, as well as Ruby who has a nice one on the Ford chassis as well. At least they're close.
Too bad that the Chevy medium duty chassis is toast- that would be a nice chassis to build on.

Wow, that takes balls

Whats worse about the whole situation is that they are laying off most of the personnel.. not even detailing to different stations. Most have a contingency plan but it still sucks. Now the crews at Kobelt will primarily be handling the specialty trips from WMC and doing scene jobs as well, so the ripple effect is tremendous. I have a feeling Lifeguard will be handling a lot more scene jobs in Dutchess/ Putnam/ Westchester.

Hey you stole my desktop background! That's no fair!
Oh and before anyone gets their panties in a bundle-
credit to the multiple photographers whom took those pics.. mainly Ron Bogardus aside from mine. I wouldn't want to see any lives lost from that

I'll let you know when we get rid of our 1980 (should be real soon). It does however need some metal work.Another Seagrave coming?

Blue to the front in NY? That should go over good with the Good Ol' Boys of Ulster County....oh wait a minute...Easy there animal.. LOL

The papparazzi and crowd that gathered at UCLA caused the LA County Coroner's office to request LA County Sheriff's Air 5 Helo to bring the body to the morgue. Also, LA TV stations already showing a photo shot through the side door of the ambulance of MJ intubated and a medic bagging him...just sick..They should send some guys from HVVFA to go pop them in the face
OH SHOOT!

No ladders, let alone a tiller in Putnam. All tower ladders, or ladder towers here.Does Cold Spring still have 13-5-1 ?

Totally BADASS!!! Good luck with it!!! What was the final price tag???A lot
Best of luck to Co. 61.. beautiful truck!
-
This truck was ordered far before the new 1901 revisions became reality
The truck is VERY nice
Here's a little teaser- awesome photo if you ask me
-
A couple of pics of 40-10 from the NYSAFC show.. nicely layed out truck with a nice cab layout, it should serve them well
Holy high hosebed!
The compartment under the forward facing rear seats in the cab is completely transverse- that's a whole lot of room!
-
Some new pics of the helmet:ohhi3252
Well at least you're displaying the helmet for sale on a better truck (at least it's seen more fire)... although the first one is faster I bet LOL..
Bump for the buff bailout
-
Whats the little thing on top of the rear cabinet? That's a muffin fan which circulates air ducted through the drugbox and spare medication cabinets. A vent is seen at the bottom of the rear bottom drawer. That way if the A/C or heat is on the drug box cools/ heats.. as well as when it is under shoreline power. There is also a wireless thermometer mounted inside of the cabinet and readout in the cab so that the Paramedic assigned to the vehicle can make sure he/she keeps the temp. within the accepted parameters using the A/C / heater.

Aww thanks Seth
Don- Vic only taught me the eye of the Jew... l'heighem!!!

oh btw? is the other mobile radio low band radio?Yep
-
Want to use it on some of your medicals?LOL... yeah man why not!
Contrary to popular belief I may do a little firefighting once in a while up here too
It'll be nice to have an aerial closer than 25 miles away though

Rich nice looking ride, of course I am partial to the white/blue, it would make a nice Wassaic Chief's car!!!!It was actually (relatively) cheap compared to most conversions.. I'm sure you could make a case to the commissioners
I think it would make an even nicer Shandaken Captain's car, but apparently the bean counters aren't too receptive to that idear..
Oh well.. a couple more years in the Exploder won't kill me..
-
Sweet looking ride Rich. What is that on the roof in front of the lightbar? looks like a mini solar panelIt's a Havis roof mounted spotlight which is controlled by the driver inside.. A lot easier to use than an in cab handheld spotlight.
Like the LP12 charger (right??). Let me know how that works on the battery, or does the rig get plugged in when parked. Anyways good luck, you guys needed itIt's an LP12 bracket mounted on a swivel & slide out toolboard. The idea was to be able to have a spot to operate the monitor underneath the cover of the rear hatch (out of the rain/snow/crap) during MVAs/ fire standbys and rehab ops/ etc..
We do have a dual battery MBSS which is going on the back wall of the Driver's side cabinetry that works off of the shoreline and 12v system (ie. works while plugged into shoreline power then switches to 12v while vehicle is started)
Instant death to the first one to say "blue lightbar" BTW
