that would be cool to see those pics of the rigs up at Camp Smith, also if you want to see any Spare Apparatus or some of the old rigs a great site to check em all out is www.fdnytrucks.com, and if you click the link that says other staes and then westchester county they may have your rigs too

I wanted to start a post on black gear or tan gear whats the diffrence in material I know that alot of the black gear (Morning Pride) is cheap which is why larger departments use it but whats the diffrence in material??

In my dept. its 18 to drive the ambulances and Rescue, Engines and Tanker u must be 21 but we are changing the insurance policy so that you can be 18 to be quilified on everything, so I guess it has to do with your departments insurance policy

My dept still uses a Siren 5 times for fire calls 3 times for ems calls, its sup to be a NYS law that for volunteer depts you must have 2 ways of alerting members for calls 1 pagers..the other way horn, or siren but not all westchester county depts use them so i'm not sure someone else may have to tell me if its true or not if thats a real law

our department has 1 chiefs car like mohegan all of our offcers have assigned Car numbers Chiefs: 2561-2563, Captains: 2564-2565, and Lieutenants: 2566-2569, unfortunatley our commishoners do not want to put another vehicle under the insurance policy so we only have 1 chiefs car
