I’m a LT at Halsted Manor. From what I heard the driver of the rig was a little shaken up but that's all. As for the rig it is still in service but damage to the bumper. Also on a side note a garbage truck was parked on the left side of the firehouse in front of the fire hydrant, so the driver of the rig couldn’t even see if a car was coming around the bend. From what I was told the garbage truck driver got a ticket for blocking the fire hydrant.

Hey im a LT for E-38 we were first in to this call ... myself and a driver. The call ended up being a wire sparking on the side of the house causeing the sideing of the house to catch on fire. We got it knocked down within minutes , then just waited for con ed to shut down power to the house.

Hey just to update you guy’s im a LT at Halsted Manor in Mamaroneck village. The Fire was just about knocked down at about 6:40. E-39 was then called to the scene to help overhaul at about 07:20, and E-62(i think that was the engine) from Port Chester took our place at Rye HQ. L-20 was also called to the scene to help overhaul at about 08:00.
Also on a side note they pulled 2 bodies out of the house at around 09:30. From what I heard is they were gone before FD got to the scene , but im sure News 12 will have more on this later today.

1 FF had a small cut to his hand.. he is fine
2nd firefighter has a badly brused hand.
I think the fire was started when the care taker was cooking food. Started out as a kitchen fire and spread into the atic!
