Rest in Peace
-
Those cars look sick, hopefully we'll see them around here.
-
It's still in service as Engine 102. The Mutuals also have the two Pierces which are E103 & E104.

Wow, what a shock. I just saw him last week.

Sorry for your loss Martin.

Great pics of some classic apparatus. What is the time frame of these shots?

You gotta also love those old orange gloves!
-
That must have made things a little more interesting for the early morning boredom!
-
I love the urgency captured in the first pic. Great shots!

Excellent photos as always. It's not just the clarity but what you capture that's amazing.

Each company purchases their own vehicle.

There was a working fire in Mamaroneck Village but now can't recall on what street, W. Harrison's FAST also went
-
The current 2281 will become 2284, then this new suburban will be the new "2281". All the other vehicles will move up in number. The cars are purchased by the companies, therefore they stay with the companies representative for chief until replaced. Hope that is clear.

My prayers go out to the fallen firefighters and their families.

These kids are getting out of control, my co-worker said that they should leave the kids outside in the elements while they search...you wouldn't see a scare happen again haha. But I know that wouldn't go well with all the liability issues these days.
And by the way, I belive Fox Lane owned Greely in the late 80's, especially in 1987, FL 42 HG 12
We finished what the 79' class couldn't.

The tow truck was good thinking on the IC's part, it sounded like a pretty hectic scene.
-
You know which piece of apparatus it is when your hear the sound of it's motor off in the distance.

That was Pete Hughes driving the Independents 48' Seagrave.
-
I would love to see pictures of the rest of his fleet!
-
Those pictures seemed fine to me, great shots and really clear under difficult circumstances.

Incidents like this annoy the heck out of me! It's amazing how drivers have a total lack of disregard for apparatus lights, flares, traffic control devices, us etc. They have to go where they want to go!!
That is why I hate doing traffic control.

Engine 102 is kept at the Mutual House (Sta. 2).
There was a time the entire fleet of Mount Kisco was open cab LaFrance's except for Rescue 15 and the Power Wagon!
-
It's quite ironic that the last Engine 102 was the American LaFrance replaced by the 1983 Mack back then. Now that LaFrance(originally E104) was also a classic.

The Mt. Kisco IFCO engine is a 1948 Seagrave.
