  1. Yes they do,, they have several differnt print for tankers, they will also build a custom rig if thats what you are looking for, again Graig Palmer is the man to talk to. FYI Danbury Ct's King St. volunteer's had a tanker built by GK
  2. Recently our department aqquired a house to use for training, as the departments training officer I am trying to start out RIT training. Can I get some ideas as to what task should I accomplish first. We have done some breaching of walls from room to room but nothing indepth.
  3. I think January 85 or 86 for the fire on N. Main St Sealand building, very cold night,, I heard some stories from my uncle's who were there that night. I believe chiefphil has some pics from that night.
  4. I am a fire dispatcher for the City of myrtle Beach fire dept. there are many things that iso looks at when evaluating for class 1, the most important thing is Qaulity control.. we are always being audited by the admin and corrective actions are taken if the calls are not dispatched properly,, being a dispatcher during a job if very tuff, not only dispatching and keeping track of time for the benchmarking,, but also keeping track of what companies are on scene and which ones are coming in. Dispatch times and onscene times are very important to ISO, from toneout till first unit on scene should be no longer then 3 mins, also if additional resources (ie electric and gas) being notifiedtimes are very important.
  5. thank you for the information
  6. Connecicut has a similar law... While responding with a blue or green light the operator of said vehicle must follow all traffic laws, unless they are yielded the wright of way. But you are no considered an emergency vehicle. Also in connecticut the fire chiefs must apply for a red light and siren permit in any POV or vehicle owned by the volunteer company,if the town owns the vehicle then it does not need a permit.
