I'm sure you were.

Really? Maybe the FD's and PD's feel they need to get the victim out faster to try and make up for the time it takes for Empress to finally show up.
-
I'm not aware of any at this time. A couple of sites are working on a live feed of 60 Control, but that's about it.

1) I know White Plains had a great ALF tiller around that time.
2) Dedicated/Official Foam Units? Yonkers, WC Foam Trailer at the academy, WC Airport crash trucks if you think about it.
3) The Yonkers job must be the JCC fire 12-20-65 as far as fire fatalities. There were a number of significant fires in Yonkers around then. The only Mt. Vernon job that comes to mind is the big warehouse/factory job. I'll have the info shortly.
Rescue1, you are showing your age! I dont think most of us were even born yet!

The new rig went into service today.
-
The Mt. Vernon Foam engine is histroy. This rig responded to Yonkers in 1996 to the Con Ed plant fire on Tuckahoe Rd. What's funny is not too long ago when all thier rigs were broken, they were using it as a spare engine and dispatching it on runs as "Foam 1." The snorkel is also gone.
Ladder 2 (62) 1998 Seagrave RM
Ladder 3 (63) 1989 Pierce RM Tower
Ladder 1 (61)/Tower Ladder 1 (Spare) 1980 Mack Tower
Also confirmed the ALF for E-306 is delayed, with no firm delivery date, at the manufacturer.
-
The "junk" were the Compac (Continental) 's in lovely lime yellow.
E306 was expected to be delivered by the end of this year (ALF) and was the only rig left to be replaced with a current bid/order. I'll get a definate update this weekend. No other units were scheduled to recieve new rigs.
Anyone hear about the two engines and truck on order for Mt. Vernon?
-
Hartsdale had an American LaFrance mid mount, lime-yellow and possibly circa 1950. I believe they had two. And I didn't cheat, I swear!
-
The image from Yonkers in this calendar is from a 4th alarm on Van Cortland Park Ave. The rigs are TL-71 ('98 ALF/LTI) and L-75 using a spare Seagrave rear mount.
