I thought that this was the only main difference between the requirements, I was not aware of the two inner shells. Before you purchase anything, make sure your department will accept it. If the helmet you purchase meets of exceeds the departments requirements they have to accept it. However, if it does not meet your department requirements, the department does not have to accept them.

Meeting the NFPA requirements for eye protection will make it safer for you, but not having it is not a death sentence. FDNY uses bourkes eye shields on their helmets.

This is crazy I remember seeing this house everytime I went to work at Philipstown VAC. It's crazy how things can be so horrible at such a wonderful time of the year. My prayers go out to the family. Hughsonville is having its first night time car show on September 12th. It's a $15 registration fee and registration starts at 530pm. Also all cars are welcome. There will be soda, water, food, and music. So come out and support Hughsonville in it's first ever Under the Lights Car Show.

Just to clarify, I believe 45-96 is Hughsonville's ATV. Maybe Dutchess county dispatchers felt that it would be a logical move to send Hughsonville. It is I believe only a 10-15 minute response, reasonable for such a large fire. I have heard much more outrageous responses. Is Pawling's ATV identified as an ATV in the Dutchess County CAD System? That could be another reason. BTW I read the post title, "Lagrange FD Brush Fire at James Baird State Park", any reason why this whole topic is about one particular department that was called MUTUAL AID??
