On some cars, the battery might not always be located under the hood. Some BMWs and Mercedes have them either in the trunk or right up against the firewall.
-
It should've been like that all along.

It was a 20X50 1-story wood frame, wood shingle commercial building. It looked like it could have been started from the outside. (1) inch and three quarter line was stretched from E-58 and was in operation for just a few minutes. Wasn't too much of a fire.

Keep it there!!

StickDaRoOF is a good example of an EDP!

I recently worked on a 2003 38' Formula with two 502 CID fuel-injected big blocks. We got it up to 88MPH! And the police boat for the area where I work only goes about 70MPH. They are not too common usually because of the cost. Running from the cops on the water going that fast is dangerous though...Some people just don't get it!

Around lunchtime today, one of my friends who was doing a masonary job in Rye near the Harrison border called me and said there were helicopters flying about 100 feet off the ground. An officer from the DEC approached him and said not to leave food out because a bear was on the loose. I couldn't believe it LOL

Mamaroneckwhy mamaroneck is it because of the parade is it because of the carnival it gives you something for you to do after
It's the biggest, most anticipated parade in lower Westchester, I think. My company has always been the host company for Port Chester. I see alot of people I know durring the parade and there's always an excellent turnout by both firefighters and spectators. And the carnival at the end is always fun.

I-84 W/B at Exit 13 IAO Rt. 9
Tractor Trailor Rollover with several other vehicles involved. Multiple reports of serious injuries. M/A from a few other surrounding departments for Hurst tools and ALS.
Does anyone have more details??

This tower was used to broadcast alarms for Rye and Mamaroneck a few months ago when the W.F. tower in Mamaroneck was down. It broadcasts over 46.26.

Some departments have different companies. If your company isn't called to the alarm or not on stand-by, maybe a member of that 'not called' company would write the IA.

Port Chester had a 3-wheel Knox tractor and tiller way back when.

I know it's a bucket. I forgot to use the  face for sarcasm! It's probably still sitting down there someplace.

I'm sure that rescue truck saw some action this morning on I-95.
-
By the looks of the sanded down body piece under the front bumper, maybe they might be overhauling it a little...maybe it will go back in service as something else.

It's just like the Haligan tool.

If 2 tires came off, then both weren't on tight because you have to tighten the lug nuts onto the axle first. Usually they have left-hand threads on the inside with right-hand threads on the outside in order to tighten down the outer wheel. So something seriously wasn't right. Or maybe they weren't tightened in a star pattern. Could have been a few different things.

Hey just because my car doesn't go into reverse doesn't mean I can't see a movie. I should have my new truck anyday now though.

Is there room for 2,500 cars?? lol

CT state PD uses Expeditions too. All of their cars have no lettering or decals either...Real sneaky.

Actually, North White Plains is dispatched by 60-Control. Once they're toned out by 60, North White re-tones the call from their own quarters.I believe Bedford does the same. 60 dispatches and then the Bedford base will re-transmit the alarm shortly after.

Let's just say that if the NYPD does take over all hazmat incidents, will the team be made of regular cops with state hazmat training? I'd think they would still have FD on the scene though. Anyone know how that works?
