  1. First im going to say sorry for the spelling and gramer up front. Here at the Dept I work as a Dispatcher on a report of a building fire we send 2 engines a heavy rescue and a truck and deputy chief then we send a RIT engine and a medic truck as part of the first alarm if we go to 3 alarms one of the ladder trucks (out of Town) on the thrid alarm is the second Rit tream. all fire fighter in my dept have had some type of RIT training. At the mass Fire acadmy Rit training is part of the full time recruit class as well as the part time call/vol class the Mass Fire academy has a few Rit classes that any fire fighter in the state and out of state can take 1 is a 2 day Rit class the second is a 4 day Rit train the trainer 2 day the thrid is Rit for Chief a Commanding the mayday class and last but the most importin ( I Think it is ) is Rit for Dispatchers. just my 2 cents

  3. They are a crack commando unit was sent to prison by court for a crime they did not commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the New York City underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... The A-Team.

now thats funny i dont care what anyone says thats funny right there

  4. These shootings all have direct ties to 2004 when Bush decided to let the ban on assault weapons expire. Pretty much every single major shooting since that time has involved - in some way, shape, or form - firearms that, as far as I am concerned, have no place in society except for maybe the Army. Everyone jumped on Obama for his views on gun control, and in light of the events 2 weeks ago in Oakland, 2 days ago in Binghamton, and yesterday in Pittsburgh, can anyone really blame him for wanting to curtail access to firearms?

As far as the instant topic, I don't believe that the presence of ESU/SWAT would have prevented any deaths, unfortunately

you are so wrong in so many ways guns dont kill people people kill people and if they inforced the laws we have maybe there would be less shootings maybe not. You cant just blame it on the guns.

  5. It's a change in working conditions they have never had them be for and now they do we have a very very strong union and they barganed it and the city the city gave i think it's 2.5 i could be wrong i think having them in the trucks is the best think to come down the line we have maps haz-mat info on them as far as the money goes i was not sure if there where other fd's out there that got money for having them in the engines and trucks

  6. Here in Mass there are a few FDs that have computers in there trucks I work as a dispatcher and every truck and engine has a computer in it and the the FFs get extra money for having them in the trucks and i have been told it's something like 2.5 of there base pay witch if you ask me is not bad

  7. I dont know much about the nypd esu only what i have read in books and by talking to a few esu guys i did read back in the 60's 70's and early 80's the nypd esu took all mva's with entrapment cuase the fire dept was too busy fighting fires and i can see that but in todays day and age eus dose every thing high angle rescue,haz-mat,water and scuba rescue and swat call. as far as equipment goes they have a ton of toys to play with heave rescue trucks small rescue trucks lights trucks jet ski's and more and thats just vehicles as for tool and fire arms look out for you guys that are gun guys thay have fully automatic shoulder wepons like the H&k mp-5 the colt m-4 and a whole lot of other stuff

  8. Don't for get there are a few not many fd's that make there ff's wear body armor just look at LAFD any shooting or stabing thats they goto not only are they wearing turnouts but they are wearing body armor and they also don't go into the sceene till the police deam it safe i think is a every good thing to wear just like every one has said we all go home at the end of our shifts
