Sweet..
I especially like one of the comments attached to the article:
Since when did Bumblebee become a Decepticon? Also, does this come with the Megan Fox hood ornament?
-
I'd go for a BB app

I'll chime in on this one for my "business partner" lol. The reason for the overhaul was many of the lights that were in the car weren't working or safety issues. Originally there were 2 broken Predator II's in the rear, which we replaced with the TIR3s on the hatch, then separated the broken parts and mounted them in the rear windows out the side. Also, they wanted a "kill switch" on the headlight flashers, so when the vehicle is parked at an incident it isn't blinding oncoming traffic. We also relocated the radios and siren in the console for safer and easier operation.

My thoughts and prayers to the brothers in New Ro. I wish you all the best, and I know I will be checking here often with the hopes of seeing some good news. NRFD - You're a great bunch of guys, well versed in what you do, and I couldn't ask for a better group of people when it comes to having my back on EMS calls when I'm working Transcare!
-
Nice, but my personal opinion, they should have gone with a charger or impala. I know I still slow down just at the sight of a crown vic. Chargers, and even more so, impalas blend in a little better, at least in my opinion/

Obviously we can't state crew members names, or HIPPA would be knocking on our doors, BUT, they were minor injuries to the crew members, one of which was transported with neck and shoulder pain, the other member had slight knee pain, but stayed with the ambulance until a mobile life supervisor arrived. Still yet to hear how they're doing from one of a few sources. If I hear anything, I'll post it.
-
Very Nice!! I can't wait to see it in person, and maybe do some calls with it!
-
History is on the Yanks side. I believe when they opened the old stadium, they won the series, and again when the reopened it after the renovations they won. Lets keep it going!!
-
Awesome rigs! Good luck with them! I'm sure they're a little smoother riding than the beasts. I'll never forget trying to start IV's in the back of those things during my EMT-I class!
-
Where are you going to put the bunk beds in this one though?
-
Interesting....
I like the fact that they will have the big 6.0L V8 with a V6 option in 2012. However, looking at the inside picture, I'm not a fan of where they put the radios. I mean, this car is supposed to be specially designed for PD, but yet they still have to take their eyes off the road to adjust the radio, change frequencies, etc...
I think it's a great idea, but still needs some fine-tuning
-
Just a reminder, the car show is THIS SUNDAY, RAIN OR SHINE!!!
I hope to see some of you there! If anyone wants to help out in any way, shape, or form, drop me an email at FDVA353@vzw.blackberry.net!!

News 12 stated that another family member of the new chief was just promoted to head of Mt Vernon recreation.
What's politics without a little corruption?!?!?

Cops: New Rochelle man, 78, kills ailing wifeNEW ROCHELLE - A 78-year-old New Rochelle man killed his ill wife this morning after promising to not put her in a nursing home, New Rochelle police Commissioner Patrick Carroll said today.

I was able to snap off a few quick pictures while at the New Rochelle fire earlier. It was a small pot on the stove that caught fire, so by time I got there with 30A1, it was pretty much out.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! - The location of the event has changed! It is now at Veteran's Park on N Mesier Ave and Brookside Dr in Wappingers Falls! -
Hudson Valley Emergency Outfitters is putting on a car/truck/bike show to benefit the Wappingers Falls Police Department K9 Unit. This unit has helped us establish our reputation as a business, and helped us grow tremendously. Unfortunately, the K-9 unit does not receive much funding from Village, and receives no funding from the state because they are a part-time department. After just getting a new/used vehicle and having to outfit it with equipment, even after it was done for bare minimum cost, the budget has been pretty much depleted. This unit serves the Village of Wappingers Falls, as well as mutual aid to the surrounding communities to provide the valuable resource of a K-9 trained in narcotics detection, and criminal searches.
The show is going to be Sunday, October 4th, 2009, at Messier Park, Main St, in Wappingers Falls. (Across from the Police Department.) Show hours will be from 12pm-5pm.
We are looking for publicity, vendors, people to bring cars, donations, and anything else you can think of that may help us out.
If anyone would care to sponsor a trophy, we have 6 classes to sponsor. Top 30 in show - $25 each. Top 3 Motorcycles - $20 each. Top 3 Emergency Vehicles - $25 (only one left.) People?s Choice ? $21. Commissioner?s Choice - $40. Third Best In Show - $35. (Other trophies have already been sponsored.)
If you buy one trophy, we are also including ¼ page of advertising space in our booklet, ½ page for 2 trophies, ¾ page for 3 trophies, and a full page for 4 or more trophies. Also a $25 donation will get you half a page, $50 will get you a full page.
We are also looking for volunteers to help us out with registering cars, judging, setup and breakdown, and a few other areas where we need assistance.
Even if you can?t make a donation, come on out to the car show. It will be $3 to get in for adults, children under 12 are free. To enter a car, it is a $20 entrance fee, free admission for the driver and one passenger. Vendors are welcome, for a $40 fee. There will be a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes.
All proceeds will be going to the Wappingers Falls PD K9 Unit. Anything you can do to help us or get the word out would be greatly appreciated!
For questions or to donate, call me at 914-424-2140, or AJ at 845-337-6310
All vehicles are welcome. We will be giving away trophies in the following Categories

Recently a friend and I started up a new business, Hudson Valley Emergency Outfitters. We specialize in lighting and radios, but can do almost anything regarding the outfitting of emergency vehicles. This was our first "big" job under the new business name.
Wappingers Falls PD got this 2002 Tahoe as a hand-me-down from the Fire Dept to replace the aging Ford Expedition that they were using. We did everything to the vehicle expect for the K9 cage, painting, and striping.
Much of the equipment used was used, some of it taken from the previous K9 unit.
Whelen Edge 9000 Series Lightbar
12 Whelen Hideaway Strobes (6 Front - 6 Rear - 2 90 watt power supplies)
4 Federal Signal Dash Strobes (Mounted together in pairs, rear hatch)
Whelen Talon LED (Rear Hatch)
Whelen Slimlighter Super-LED - (Front Windshield)
Whelen 500 Series LEDs (Grille)
Whelen Mirrorbeam LEDs
Whelen TIR3's (Running boards) **Still waiting for one more to come back from warranty**
Whelen Cencom Gold Siren/Controller
Hotdog K9 Temperature Sensor
Bailout K9 Door Opener
2 Motorola Turbo Radios - 1 UHF for Wappingers PD, 1 VHF for DC911 (GPS Enabled)
Genesis III Radar Unit
Dell Laptop with Jottodesk Mount and Printer
Havis Console
More pictures and videos will be posted later on in the week of some of the other work we have done, including my POV. Please visit our website (under construction) at www.hvemergency.webs.com

Good luck with the new rig! It looks great! I can't wait to see it when I come back up to visit.
As far as PL's reputation, I've dealt with 3 of them over the last few years. As Mr. Munson stated, Croton's 55B2 has been an all around great rig, and my favorite ambulance by far. Smooth riding (especially compared to the current 55B1), well running, and very dependable. The other two I've been around are Mamaroneck Village EMS' rigs. 19, their older PL, I've always liked. Just like 55B2, while I was a member there, it was always a workhorse. Their newer rig, 10, seemed to always be having problems. It's like anything custom built. It will have its bugs, some worse than others. It's the luck of the draw I guess. Just my two cents.
