  2. Just to add to this. This area is known as the Speedway. It's just about a straight run from Gun Hill to 233, with maybe two or three streets that branch off of Webster to the west. Luckily nobody went over the side to the Metro North tracks down below.

I was the first EMS unit on this job, One of the worst pin job I have done in 10 Years. 5 pts TxP to Jacobi with all major trauma. The person who caused the MVA was DWI

  3. You can add Putnam to the list as well - however it has gotten better with the long awaited safety net medic 3 and 4 offer. I've said this before, and i will say it again. Its a shame that your average junkie/crack head in NYC can enjoy his high with the satisfaction of knowing hes guaranteed both BLS and ALS (if needed) assets in a extremely reasonable time frame. The people of Westchester and Putnam simply have no idea what they are not getting. Look, this isn't a game - if you cant get out after the first dispatch, go mutual aid. 3 tones/5 minutes/whatever doesn't cut it.

Our average response to a "Sick job" in the city is 4 mins or less only the Best!

  4. Correct me if I am wrong but I heard that it will be mandatory for all units to have the AVL systems up and running by Aug. 1st this year.

As of Friday 5/27/06 all EMS units in the Bronx will have the GPS units online. I work for OLM*EMS my boss recieved a call on Friday 5/19/06 from the Fire Dept req all of our units be online by May 27. we have 5 units & 3 Spares all must have GPS/ New MDT's installed.

  5. Well the i heard that the plane was a private plane and it was carrying 2 people onboard. Yonkers called 60 Control asking if there were any Marine Units still in the water. 60 Control got Irvington and i believe they were looking for Tarrytown.

1218:  2 occupants in plane were recovered. Taken to Jacobi Medical Center

Information came from Yonkers to 60 Control via radio.

2 pts were taken to jacobi 1 by NYPD Helo & 2nd By Coast gaurd Helo. Request 2 EMS units to meet them @ JAcobi Helo Port to TXP to ER

  6. Anyone have a size/plane description?  Also, why were no YFD or YPD marine units used?  I know that the FD has a couple boats.

YESU officer aboard tug boat to get victims. 1 victim removed by PD 2nd pt removed by coast gaurd. YESU Boat was not in the water

  7. Was the car into the building the TPD car?

    How is the officer(s) doing?

    Anybody...Bueller...Bueller??

The car into the building was not the TPD car. The officer recieved a Minor hand injury & was taken to Hospital by a PD unit. The Person Pinned in the car had major head trauma & was taken to Jacobi by EVAC.
