even at dumpster fires everyone should wear airpacks because you dont know what chemicals or debris is in that dumpster. It could be anthing from frion to pool chemicals dont take any chances wear your mask.

Everyone in my dept keeps there gear in there cars we respond directly to the scene. I agree with stat 213 you have to watch where you put your gear because the uv ray's especially with the black turnout gear it discolors it and ruins the gear.

you are correct 2265 myself and engine 255 reported to garrison station 2 for staging and went to assist with the extinguishment of the fire.

to answer answer your question there was a trashcan fire that was in the mens room of applesbees in the cortlandt manor and the 2 subjects invovled were taken into custody by NYSP Cortlandt and we had to call C & 0 the fire was extinguished by the manager prior to our arrival nothing big

Not a new tone just an extra tone to assist setting the pagers off we have had alot of problem with the new tower setting off the minitor IV pagers. So this extra tone ensures the pagers go off.

There is no pictures that will be put up on this that was at the chief's request and out of respect for the guy that was driving the engine the press was even asked not to photograph the incident it is a tough thing to happen to your department. thankyou everyone for your consern.

Ok guys yes there was an accident as you know with 252 it was not totally rolled over it was on its side the Driver of the truck is ok was transported as a precaution no one else was injured no other vehicles involved there was alot of damage to the drivers side of the engine. Investigation as to what happened is still ongoing so i will not touch on that. It was on the oposite side from the rollover we were responding too. The main thing is the driver of the engine walked away from this.

AN EMS CALL IS COVERED FINE IN MOHEGAN FIRES YOU DONT HEAR TONE AFTER TONE AFTER CONFIRMING A STRUCTUAL FIRE THEY WILL RETONE AND CONFIRM A FIRE WE ALSO HAPPEN TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH OUR RADIO SYSTEM SETTING OFF THE NEWER PAGERS. MOHEGAN IS ONE OF THE BEST!

BJM what makes you say mohegan is under staffed? Mohegan Has no staffing issues what so ever 27 career guys and 175-200 active volunteers NO PROBLEMS with staffing here dont know where you got your info from

Ed might be a good idea for you or the falls to pass this info along to the mutual aid departments so you know for the next we might have to respond there because alot of departments that dont run tankers such as mine dont take this into consideration.

Both excellent Chiefs As a member of Mohegan i had the priviledge of working under chief Hecker was a great experience and taught me alot. As a former Somers Dispatcher I had the priviledge of working with Chief Ruxton as well as buffing a few fires in somers . Scotty was a great leader. This Fire was contained to the area around the chimney fire was in the boiler room. The boiler was being serviced prior to our arrival they used 2-3 extinguishers to try and knock down the fire but were unsucessful. companies opened up and kept the fire to the boiler room and a storage room on the second floor good stop made by all.
