Rest in Peace Brother.

The 'little boys' comment was un-needed IMO, but I'm sure he wasn't the first to say it or even think it. Catholic or not, I believe the priest or pastor or whoever he is, needs to re-think what he's saying and get his priorities in check. Banning those who help from using their parking lot doesn't seem like the christian thing to do. However I would like to hear more facts as to why he made his decision.
Some people don't have religion in their life, that doesn't make them a bad person. I'm not 'Roman Catholic' I don't agree with alot that the catholic church says, which is why I'm a Christian. But, that's a whole other topic.
StaySafe guys.

Probably referring to the policy of posting unrelated personal problems. This story is permissible, as it directly relates to the duties of a FF.Read more on this policy through the link provided below:
Ahhh, thank you. My mistake.

All I Got to say is Thank You Mr. Celtruda What a JackA$$Another Black EYE
Yessir, yet another probationary firefighter looking to be a hero.
On a side note...Maybe I'm mistaken...(or don't remember w/e it is) I thought these types of threads were not longer allowed/kosher?
Oh well, should be a good conversation thread.

A computer failure in the system that processes flight plans has delayed flights nationwide, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to FOX News. -
is it true that they have a security guard posted 24-7 at the site because its historic/under investigation/unsound?Been down to the site a couple times in the last few days, (while stopping at Dains to get Lumber) haven't seen anyone standing guard.
-
On the update: Some pretty good footage of the collapse and seconds after. I believe this video is from the security cameras at Dain's Lumber

Re-read the first post. It was not a "sting operation."Read the BNN thread that I linked to in my first post. Thanks for your concern. Edited my post so that all doubt is cleared up.

Herein lies the problem...."they" have been rebroadcasting our IA's word-for-word, even down to non-existent street addresses. The copyright notice on the top of our IA pages is quite clear.
Seth has said time and again, we do not want to drive our own members away by making the Incident Alerts a paid/subscription feature, being as it is one of the most popular attractions of the site.
Then why not call it quits with the useless 'sting operations', and threads bashing them? It's obviously NOT stopping them. They're still going to do it regardless, and I think at this point the only reason they continue to 'steal/copy' etc. is because it gets a rise out of some people. It's like dealing with third grade bullies, they do it because they get recognition in the form of these threads, and see how many are complaining about it.

I don't think it should be 'national firefighters day.' Many other men and women died that day doing their jobs. IMO I think it should be just a national holiday.

Posted this in the other thread, might as well post it in this one too.

With all due respect, Maybe I'm missing the significance of all these "whacker" pager organizations "stealing" info off this site but it all seems childish to me..... Maybe I'm missing something but that's what it seems to me..... If you really look at it, we are all "stealing" info from the FCC licensed radio channels of the public safety systems we are monitoring and posting it, paging it, or what ever...... In the old days I thought the FCC wording was something to the effect that you are not allowed to divulge info heard while scanning...... Highly unenforceable but I think that was the law years ago..... Not sure what it is now..... The bottom line is I don't care if they rebroadcast info and I'm not sure why anybody else does.... What's the big deal????????Uh oh...We're not allowed to disagree with those EMTBravo 'sting operations' . I tried
(Agreed 100% extremely childish)

Lost both my golden retrievers within a year, one was 18, the other 13 - miss 'em to death.
If the hound would get along with my new beagle I'd be glad to take it. Been looking for another dog for sometime now.

I have family that works at Indian Pointthey also "down play" the Radioactive Leaks!
As do I brother. I'm just a tad confused as to why they would release findings like that, if they're so 'insignificant' or whatever else Entergy decides to call it.

Entergy officials believe the sample showed the traces of strontium 90 because the most recent tests were conducted with a more sensitive analysis, not because of increased levels of radioactivity. The most recent test results show strontium levels that are 0.473 picocuries per liter, less than one-sixteenth of the federal limit of 8.0 picocuries per liter for drinking water. A picocurie is a measure of radioactivity.Earlier reports said the well that these tests were done in weren't wells for drinking water, so why use those stats? Seems like they're trying to downplay it as much as possible. Which is understandable IMO - but if it's really not that big of a deal why report it to begin with? I mean, some 'leaks' are bound to happen aren't they?

Good luck to you guys, books killed me my first semester. But, now I've come to love the used versions. Criminal Justice / Paramedic EMS doesn't come cheap.
