Now if we can get Somers to allow Westchester County to dispatch for them, we could get rid of the dispatchers we pay extra for and save a few (or more) bucks.
helicopper and Remember585 like this -
Tenant evictions.

If he had just mooned the crowd and not turned around and mooned the superintendent of schools and board members he would have gotten off with a slap on the wrist.
Anyone else hear he is a vol with the ambulance? Channel 12 was reporting that.

And after you cut them (car/truck,bilke tool), do you tie it in a knot to keep it around the helmet or is there a different way to attacht/connect together it?You don't cut it the long way you cut it in strips and they come out in circles that fit nice around the helmet.
Go to the Greenburgh DPW garage by the sprain, they have truck tire tubes there. Ask for one that is no good.

Just wondering which hydrant blew out? There are 2 on Quaker Church and 2 on Hilltop.
Just as a side note, the correct address is 8 Hilltop Dirve, not 5 as reported.

In my opinion, for Westchester County, it has to be the MASSIVE General/Mutiple Alarm Fire in Yonkers on Bronx River Road a few years back, to which not only was New Rochelle, Mount Vernon, Greenville, Eastchester, etc.etc., but a Full Battalion from New York City was brought up to help knock down the fire. I can't remember any other that was SO HUGE !!!How about the fire on April 25, 1995 at 616 East Lincoln Avenue, Mt. Vernon.
over 90 Fire fighters from Mt. Vernon, Yonkers, New Rochelle, Pelham, New York City, the Probie Class at the time, etc, etc.
It took them 4 1/2 hours to get the fire under control and after it was put out it completely destroyed my 5 story 72 unit building leaving 247 people homeless.

What about the May 23, 1993 Fire that completly destroyed my 68 unit co-op apartment building at 68 East Hartsdale Avenue in Hartdale?

somebody please get pics and post, im going through adrenaline withdraw down here in school!I hope everyone is ok that lives there tho, as well as everyone responding
It actually is not a very big house, but the last time I was in it I was amazed at how much stuff was inside it. My wife works with the owner and she found out about the fire when her son called to tell her he heard about it on the radio. It is my understanding the only casualty was the family dog.
If there are pics, please post or PM me with them.

my condolences go out to them both. Does anybody know their names so proper regards can be given out?Heidi Behr, 23, a single mother who was a volunteer emergency medical technician, and Bill Stone, 30, of Rocky Point, who was engaged to be married and had been working for several months as a paid paramedic responder

I see Corrections vehicles with lights and siren on a couple of times a week on the Taconic in the morning. Most of the time it is 2 vans. Some times they have an escort vehicle in front of them also with lights and siren. Some days I get behind them and follow them all the way to the Bronx Criminal Court building on 161st Street in the Bronx by Yankee Stadium.
