anyone know any good schools for arson investigation?

i heard the university of new haven has a good program of fire science, with a concentration in arson

any new info on this rig?

so are ride alongs allowed?

1) The FF never even doned a hood. Mask went on then the Helmet and they entered the room on fire!

2) Coats were never buttoned up!!

3) SCBA were not properly worn. The waist strap was not buckled...guess they picked that up from FDNY.

i think it could be because it was a re-enactment that this was not done, but then again who knows?

Not counting the "big city" departments....who  in Westchester has the most runs, working fires?  If ems/ambulance call are part of a Departments total #, try and break down between fire and ambulance.  I'm not from Westchester, and from checking out the archive photos...I see Tower Ladder 57 at alot of working fires.

Elmsford does over 1000 per year, abot 55-60% are ambulance, 40-45% are Fire

I forgot bout Elmsford...They do over 700 fire runs

In 2004, Somers had 1504 calls, round about volume as follows:

Straight EMS- 875

Auto Accidents- 125 (Fire and EMS response)

Fire/Emergency- 500

So, if Somers didn't run Ambulances we would have had around 625 calls as a straight FD.

This year, Somers is on track to break 1700 calls, all 3 catergories are up!

Yorktown, Kisco, or Somers FD are the busiest full volly dept.
