Pleasantville VAC 7602

Found these old photos of the 'old 7602', retired from service in 1996(?). It was a Ford E350/Braun Type II ambulance. Fun to drive, once the gas engine warmed up.

And finally a shot of the inside, it was very cramped to work in. Also the tinted window allowed bystanders to look in during nighttime use, with the interior lights on.

7602 was equipped with an old Federal model 100 siren, which when changed modes(wail/hi-lo/yelp) would stop and hesitate. Also, the yellow lights on the rear, and round red lights in the grill, were early model strobe light, which you could hear 'discharge' thru the siren speaker located in the middle of the light bar(very loud).
