Yonkers Working Fire 4/10/06 -

Location: 161 Forest Avenue between Lee & Central Park Ave.

Frequency: 46.50 / 484.7125

Units Operating: YFD Initial Assignment

Description Of Incident: Fire in building, reports of children on #2 floor fire apartment

Writer: 1075thebox

05:24 - 10-29 & 10-30 per Battalion 1

05:26 - Safety Battalion requesting EMS for two needing to be checked out.

Just some additional info I have.

Units Operating: E-304, 306, 303, 312, L-74, TL-75, R-1, B-1 (Not sure about the 10-30 engine, I think I heard E-310??)Rescue1 responded on a delay because of a multi-car pileup on central ave. Ladder 74 was first due ladder, reporting fire in the rear, telling TL-75 to come up Central Ave to Forest. Batt1 while enroute gave the 10-30, addtl' engine.

2.5 wood framed structure -

Exposure 1: Street.

Exposure 2: 3 story framed structure with a 20ft alley way.

Exposure 3: Brick garages

Exposure 4: vacant lot.

Fire was U/C at 06:00hrs.

Any reason L-73 and E-313 were not on the alarm they are usually on the first in that area and wouldn't have been involved in the accident on the other side of town. Only reason I know would be multiple alarms going on at same time

E-313 and L-73 Where operating on that accident with -307, Res1, and Batt2.

How come it says 306,312 and 72 for the accident or was it another one?

Nah, damn fire was less than a mile from my house and I missed it. I had Confined Space School this morning and didn't want to get out of bed at 05:30.

I'm a slacker!
